Office Chair Maintenance Tips
Office chair maintenance tips should be approached from four aspects: handling and usage, avoiding improper actions, cleaning and maintenance, and regular upkeep. Details are as follows:

Handling and Usage: When moving an office chair, lift it gently and place it down carefully to avoid collisions and prevent structural damage. After prolonged sitting, frequently pat the areas and edges that have been sat on to help them regain their shape and reduce indentation. When using the chair, try to keep the center of gravity in the middle of the pneumatic rod to ensure smooth and flexible lifting and rotation. For office chairs that have been used for a long time, regularly check if the screws on the mechanism are loose. If they are, tighten them promptly. Also, check if the springs and knobs are loose. Adjust the spring tension according to the user's weight to ensure the chair back returns to its position smoothly.
Avoiding Improper Actions: It is strictly prohibited to sit on the armrests of an office chair or place heavy objects on them to prevent deformation or damage. Avoid exposing the office chair to direct sunlight for extended periods, as plastic materials are prone to aging and hydrogen embrittlement. Leather office chairs should be kept away from heat sources and direct sunlight. They should never be placed under strong sunlight to prevent the leather from cracking and fading.
Cleaning and Maintenance: During daily cleaning, avoid scrubbing the surface vigorously to prevent damage. For leather office chairs, use a cloth dipped in 40%-50% soap water or laundry detergent water to wipe them down. Then, wipe them with clean water and dry them with a clean cloth. Never use harsh cleaning agents (such as abrasive cleaners, turpentine, gasoline, etc.). For fabric office chairs, spray a cleaning agent and gently wipe them. For particularly dirty areas, use warm water combined with a cleaning agent to clean them, avoiding vigorous scrubbing with a brush. For mesh chairs, wipe them with clean water first, then use a semi-damp cloth to handle water stains. For stubborn stains, use a small brush dipped in a weak alkaline detergent to gently scrub the mesh pores. The legs of solid wood office chairs can be wiped directly with a dry cloth and then treated with a cleaning agent. Avoid wiping them with a damp cloth and exposing them to sunlight to prevent internal rot of the solid wood. Before using a cleaning agent on a leather office chair, test it in an inconspicuous area for colorfastness. If it fades, dilute it with water. For particularly dirty areas, clean them with lukewarm water and let them air dry naturally.
Regular Upkeep: Maintain the office chair strictly according to the instructions. Regularly check the tightness of the pneumatic rod and screws. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to clean the debris on the wheel axles every week to ensure smooth and silent movement.
