Office Chair Mailing
Admin October 08, 2026
Office chairs can be mailed, and the mailing methods differ between domestic and international shipping, as detailed below:

Domestic Mailing
- Selecting a Logistics Provider: For ordinary computer chairs like gaming chairs, they can be packed in cardboard boxes and sent via express delivery. For larger and heavier chairs, such as executive chairs, you can choose branded logistics providers like Deppon, Aneng, and Yuancheng. Among them, Deppon Express is relatively professional in terms of delivery speed and packaging services, ensuring that office desks and chairs arrive on time and are securely packaged. You can also choose logistics companies like ZTO, YTO, and SF Express. First, search online for available logistics companies, confirm service details and pricing standards, and then sign a transportation contract.
- Packaging Protection: You can bring wooden boards to secure the chair and use foam padding to protect the product. Remind the sender to pay attention to components like gas cylinders. If it's not glassware or very heavy furniture, you can also consider logistics consignment.
- Other Considerations: Estimate time costs by considering local traffic and the street conditions at the destination. You can request that the furniture be loaded and unloaded simultaneously. Different companies have different freight calculation methods. Consult customer service in advance to understand detailed procedures and precautions, check invoice prices against bill contents, inquire whether the logistics provider can enter a specified door and if there's an elevator at home, consider insurance issues, ask about insurance options and related fee details before payment, pack the item well and hand it over to the courier, and inspect the goods before signing upon receipt.
International Mailing (Taking mailing to Thailand as an example)
- Item Description and Customs Code: Provide an accurate item description, such as "swivel office chair" or "bow-legged office chair," and determine the customs code according to the Harmonized System of Commodity Naming and Coding.
- Disassembly and Packaging: Usually, the office chair needs to be disassembled, with components like the backrest, seat cushion, armrests, and base separated and wrapped individually to reduce volume, lower costs, and prevent damage. The packaging materials should have sufficient compressive strength and cushioning properties.
- Shipping Methods: There are two options: LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight, which is economical but time-consuming, and air freight, which is fast but expensive and has strict size and weight restrictions for items.
- Customs Clearance and Taxes: Thai customs impose tariff and value-added tax rates on imported furniture, calculated based on the customs code and declared value of the goods. If the office chair contains untreated solid wood components, a fumigation certificate or phytosanitary certificate is required. Customs clearance documents must be accurate.
- Last-Mile Delivery: In Thailand, last-mile delivery capabilities and costs differ between big cities and remote areas. The delivery provider needs to be capable of handling large items, and additional fees may apply. The accuracy of the delivery address and contact information affects delivery efficiency.
