Lowering an Office Chair
There are several ways to lower an office chair, and you can choose the appropriate method based on the chair's type and structure:

For most office chairs equipped with a pneumatic rod, if there is a handle beneath the seat, this is the most common adjustment method. When operating, first sit on the office chair and use your body weight or press down hard on the chair with your hands to keep it relatively stable. Then lift the handle beneath the seat. At this point, the rebound of the high-pressure air in the pneumatic rod is blocked, and the chair will lower as the pressure changes. When the chair is lowered to the desired height, release the handle to fix the height. This adjustment method is simple and convenient and is suitable for most ordinary pneumatic-rod office chairs.
If it is an inflatable office chair, its adjustment method is different from that of a pneumatic rod. You need to find the knob on the gas rod, which is usually located in a prominent position at the bottom of the chair. After finding it, rotate the knob clockwise. As the knob turns, the gas pressure inside the chair will change, causing the chair to lower. During the adjustment process, you can rotate the knob slowly according to your needs to achieve the ideal height.
Some swivel chairs have fixed screws at the bottom, which is a relatively traditional design. When adjusting, simply use an appropriate tool (such as a wrench) to loosen the screws, and then the height of the chair can be freely adjusted. After adjusting the chair to the desired height, use the tool to tighten the screws to ensure that the chair's height will not change during use. This adjustment method is relatively more troublesome, but it has a good fixing effect and is suitable for people who have high requirements for the chair's stability.
There is also a situation where there are two adjustment rods beneath the seat, and one of them is used for height adjustment. When operating, sit on the seat and lift the rod for height adjustment. The chair will rise or fall as the rod is lifted. When the height reaches the desired level, release the handle, and the chair will be fixed at the current height. This design usually appears on office chairs with rich functions, making it convenient for users to adjust the height while sitting.
