Office Chair Locking

Admin October 09, 2026

Office chair locking mainly falls into two categories: preventing others from using the chair and locking the backrest of a computer chair in a reclined position. Here are the specific methods:

Preventing Others from Using the Office Chair

  • Chain Lock: Composed of a high-strength chain and a lock core. When in use, wrap the chain around load-bearing and non-removable parts of the office chair, such as the chair legs and armrest bases, and then fasten the lock core. This type of lock fits most office chairs with regular structures, is affordable, and easy to operate, effectively preventing others from using the office chair casually.
  • Combination Padlock: Does not rely on a key; it unlocks and locks through a preset digital code. When using it, simply clip the lock onto the space between the chair legs or the gaps in the chair frame. It is suitable for scenarios where one is worried about losing keys and needs quick unlocking, providing a certain level of security and convenience for the use of the office chair.
  • Flexible Cable Lock: The main body is a metal cable with a covering layer, offering greater flexibility. It can easily wrap around office chairs with irregular shapes, having a wider range of adaptability. It can not only fix the chair legs but also bind the chair to nearby fixed furniture, such as the legs of an office desk, further enhancing the fixing effect of the office chair.

Locking the Backrest of a Computer Chair in a Reclined Position

  • Computer Chair with a Locking Button: Usually, there is a dedicated locking button on the control lever under the chair or on the side. First, adjust the backrest to the desired angle, and then press or flip this locking button to fix the backrest in its current position, meeting the user's specific needs for the backrest angle.
  • Computer Chair Locked by an Adjustment Knob: First, adjust the backrest to a suitable angle, and then rotate the knob clockwise until the backrest can no longer recline, completing the locking. This locking method is relatively simple to operate, allowing the user to freely adjust and lock the backrest angle according to their own comfort level.
  • Computer Chair Controlled by a Gas Spring: First, get the backrest to the ideal angle, and then use the control device on the gas spring to lock the backrest. If you are unsure about the specific operation, refer to the product manual. The positions and operation methods of the gas spring control devices may vary among different brands and models of computer chairs.
