Office Chair Lock Translation
The 'LOCK' on an office chair is a locking function, mainly used to lock the backrest so that it cannot lean backward, maintaining a specific sitting posture.

Common Operating Methods
- Lever-type Locking: The recline locking device of many computer chairs is located beneath the seat, usually a lever that can be moved up and down. When you need to lock the backrest, move the lever downward to lock the backrest, preventing it from continuing to tilt backward. To unlock it, move the lever upward, and the backrest can return to a freely adjustable state. This design is simple and intuitive, easy to operate, allowing users to easily adjust the locking and unlocking of the backrest according to their needs.
- Rotary Lever-type Locking: Some office chairs use an inward-pushing rotary lever to achieve the locking function. Pushing the rotary lever inward locks and fixes the current state of the chair, including the angle of the backrest and the height of the seat (if the chair has multi-directional adjustment functions). Pulling the rotary lever outward again releases the lock, enabling adjustments to various parameters of the chair. This locking method is relatively concealed but provides a more stable locking effect, suitable for users with high requirements for chair stability.
Functional Abnormalities
If you find that the 'LOCK' function cannot be pressed during use, there may be two reasons. First, damage: After long-term use of the office chair, the internal parts of the locking device may experience wear, aging, or breakage, resulting in the inability to operate the locking function normally. For example, the lever in a lever-type locking device may deform due to frequent movement, and the spring in a rotary lever-type locking device may lose its elasticity, affecting the locking effect. Second, insufficient strength: The locking devices of some office chairs are designed to be relatively tight and require a certain amount of strength to operate. For users with less strength, they may not be able to press or move the locking device smoothly, thus mistakenly thinking that the function is malfunctioning.
