Office Chair Leg Pushing
Admin October 08, 2026
There are two common ways of 'office chair leg pushing', each suitable for different scenarios and offering different exercise effects.

'Office Chair Version of Skiing Leg Pushing'
- Suitable Scenarios: This movement is adapted from professional skiing training and is particularly suitable for meeting scenarios where a seated position needs to be maintained. During meetings, people often have to sit for long periods, and their bodies can easily become relatively static and tense. This movement allows the body to get some activity without attracting too much attention.
- Specific Steps: Hold the edge of the table with both hands to maintain body balance and stability. Slowly push the right leg backward and downward, while the left leg provides support and power, serving as a stable support point for the entire movement. Scientifically, it is recommended to perform 8 - 15 repetitions per set. Through such repeated movements, the relevant leg muscle groups can be effectively exercised, and at the same time, the waist and hip joints can be moved to a certain extent, relieving the discomfort caused by prolonged sitting.
Simple Leg-Pushing Movement While Sitting on a Chair
- Suitable Scenarios: This movement is relatively simple and is suitable for being performed at any time during office breaks. It does not require a specific scenario, and as long as there is an office chair, exercise can be carried out.
- Specific Steps: Keep both legs naturally hanging on the ground and maintain a relaxed body state. Then, alternately extend both legs straight forward and put them down, doing 10 repetitions for each leg. After completing the first 8 normal-speed movements, perform the last 2 at a slightly faster speed. This movement mainly exercises the quadriceps femoris, which is one of the largest and most powerful muscles in the human body and plays an important role in maintaining the stability and normal movement of the knee joint. Through this simple leg-pushing movement, the strength of the quadriceps femoris can be enhanced, the leg's movement ability can be improved, and it also helps promote blood circulation in the legs and reduce leg fatigue.
