Office Chair Leg Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation method for office chair legs varies depending on the model, and corresponding steps should be selected based on the specific model. Here are the installation methods and precautions for common models:

1. F28 New Inclined Leg Chair Foot Installation

  • Footrest Assembly: Unscrew the reserved screws on the footrest, insert one side of the footrest tube into the corresponding position on the other side, and tighten the reserved screws sequentially with a wrench.
  • Fixing Angle Iron and Footrest Plate: Align the angle iron with the holes on the footrest plate, secure it with 4 fine short screws, and tighten them with a wrench.
  • Connecting Footrest and Angle Iron: Align the other side of the angle iron with the holes on the footrest, secure it with 4 coarse medium screws, and insert the knob into the holes on the footrest.
  • Installing Footrest and Seat Cushion: Align the footrest with the holes on the seat cushion and secure it with 4 fine extended screws.
  • Adjusting Chair Foot Balance: If the chair foot wobbles, install foot nails for leveling. First, place 2 washers on the foot nails and screw them into the bottom of the chair foot; if there is still slight unevenness, rotate one side of the foot nails to adjust the height.

2. F18 Four-Leg Chair Installation

  • Fixing Armrests: Secure the armrests to both sides of the seat cushion with 4 medium screws.
  • Installing Footrest: Secure the footrest to the center of the bottom of the seat cushion with 4 long screws.

3. General Office Stool Installation

  • Footrest Assembly: First, manually tighten all the footrest screws preliminarily, then reinforce them one by one with tools, and finally install the foot nails and end caps (used to cover the screw holes and enhance aesthetics).

4. Adjustable Foot Nails Installation for Wooden Chair Legs (General Method)

  • Tool Preparation: Electric drill, drill bit matching the thread diameter of the foot nails, tape measure, and marking pen.
  • Drilling and Positioning: Mark the drilling point at the center of the bottom of the wooden leg, drill vertically with the drill bit to a depth of approximately 2/3 of the thread length of the foot nails.
  • Installing Foot Nails: Screw the threaded end of the foot nails into the drilled hole and rotate them until they are flush with the bottom of the wooden leg; simply rotate the foot nails to adjust the height.
  • Precautions: Prefer metal foot nails to enhance durability; drilling too deep may damage the structure of the wooden leg; some foot nails have rubber pads at the bottom to reduce floor scratches and enhance stability.

General Advice:

  • Before installation, verify the matching of screw specifications with the model to avoid loosening due to misuse.
  • When using a wrench or electric tool, control the force to prevent slipping or damaging components.
  • If the chair foot continues to wobble, check if the screws are tightened or if the height of the foot nails is consistent, and readjust if necessary.
