Office Chair Leather Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation steps for an office chair leather chair can be divided into five stages: base component installation, seat cushion and chassis connection, backrest installation, armrest and headrest installation, and detail adjustments. Specific operations should be carried out in accordance with the model instructions.

1. Base Component Installation
First, insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-claw (star-shaped) base one by one. After ensuring the wheels are fully embedded, flip the five-claw base so that its bottom faces upwards. Next, install the gas lift rod by aligning the thicker end with the center hole of the five-claw base and inserting it vertically. Be careful not to reverse the direction, as this may damage the gas lift rod or cause the chair's height adjustment function to fail. For some models, such as the Deli 91029, the base contains metal components. Verify that the material matches the instructions to assess wear resistance.

2. Seat Cushion and Chassis Connection
Place the chassis on the bottom of the seat cushion, align the screw holes, and then screw in four B screws one by one. When operating, first screw in 3-4 turns, and then tighten them one by one to avoid tilting the chassis due to unilateral force. For the Deli 91029 model, align the installation according to the indicator arrow on the chassis and use eight screws to secure it, ensuring a stable connection.

3. Backrest Installation

  • Armrest Bracket Fixation: Insert the bottom of the backrest into the armrest installation positions on both sides of the seat cushion. Use two C screws to fix it from the bottom of the armrest bracket upwards, ensuring the backrest is perpendicular to the seat cushion.
  • Rear Bracket Locking: Align the installation holes on the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion bracket. Use two wrenches to lock and fix them with D screws (i.e., hold one wrench steady while rotating the screw with the other) to prevent the screws from loosening.
  • Special Model Handling: For models 908/909, use four M625mm screws to install the backrest bracket, and then use three M820mm screws to connect the backrest to the tray. The screw specifications must strictly match the instructions to avoid structural instability caused by mixed use.

4. Armrest and Headrest Installation

  • Armrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the bracket holes, and ensure the buckles are fully embedded. For models 908/909, an additional two M8*25mm screws are required to fix the armrests from the side to enhance stability.
  • Headrest Installation: Align the headrest with the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the installation area to make it fit, and tighten it with two E screws through the fixing buckles. For some models, rubber rings need to be placed on the screws to reduce friction noise.

5. Detail Adjustments
After installation, check that all components are tightly connected. For the Deli 91029 model, cover it with the decorative cover. Do not press hard to avoid deformation of the cover plate. For model 901, check the goods list to confirm that the number of screws (e.g., seven thick screws and six thin screws) matches the model.

Precautions:

  • The screw specifications vary greatly among different models (e.g., M6/M8). Follow the instructions strictly to avoid mixed use.
  • When installing the gas lift rod, the thicker end must face downwards; otherwise, it may pose safety risks.
  • If there is any jamming or the screws cannot be screwed in during the installation process, stop the operation and check whether the holes are aligned. Do not force the installation.
