Office Chair Installation Process
The installation process of an office chair mainly consists of the following steps:

1. Install the five-star base and wheels
Align the wheels with the holes on the five-star base, and firmly insert or screw them in (some wheels may need to be fixed with threads). Ensure that each wheel is securely installed to prevent loosening during subsequent use. After installation, flip the five-star base so that the wheels face down and check if the wheels rotate smoothly.
2. Install the gas lift
Flip the five-star base again so that the central hole faces up. Remove the protective cap from the top of the gas lift, and vertically insert the gas lift into the central hole of the five-star base, ensuring that the bottom of the gas lift is fully embedded. The gas lift is the core component that supports the seat height, so confirm that it is installed in the correct direction (usually the top of the gas lift is thinner).
3. Install the base and seat cushion
Place the seat cushion flat on a clean surface, and align the base with the installation position on the bottom of the seat cushion (pay attention to the direction of the base, usually marked with 'front'). Use the provided screws (usually four long screws) to fix the base to the seat cushion. When tightening, do so in a cross-step manner to prevent the base from tilting. Some designs require the base to be inserted into the slot on the bottom of the seat cushion before fixing the screws.
4. Connect the gas lift and seat cushion
Lift the seat cushion with the installed base, and align it with the top of the gas lift to insert it into the hole on the base. Some designs require the gas lift to be installed on the five-star base first, and then the seat base to be slipped onto the gas lift; in this case, gently press down on the seat cushion to ensure full contact between the gas lift and the base, preventing the seat from wobbling.
5. Install the armrests
After placing the seat cushion on the gas lift, start installing the armrests. Pay attention to distinguishing between the left and right armrests (usually marked on the inside of the armrests), align the holes on the armrests with the side holes on the base, and use screws (three on each side) to initially fix them. Do not fully tighten the screws at this time to leave room for adjustment during the installation of the backrest.
6. Install the backrest
Align the backrest with the back of the seat cushion, and first adjust the holes on the backrest to align with those on the armrests. Start installing screws from the bottom (usually two screws), keeping them loose as well; after lifting the backrest, install the top screws (one to two screws), confirm that the backrest is vertical and not tilted, and then tighten all the screws in sequence. Some designs require the backrest to be snapped into the tray on the base, and then the entire assembly to be inserted into the gas lift.
7. Final inspection and decoration
After tightening all the screws, check if the connections between all components are secure, if the wheels rotate flexibly, and if the seat height adjustment function works properly. Finally, install the armrest decorative caps (if any) to cover the screw holes and enhance the aesthetics.
Precautions:
- Check the parts list before installation to avoid missing screws or tools.
- Using an electric screwdriver when tightening screws can improve efficiency, but control the force to prevent slipping.
- Two people are required to collaborate when installing the backrest to prevent it from tipping over and causing damage.
- After installation, gently shake the seat to confirm that there are no abnormal noises or looseness before use.
