How to Install an Office Chair
The installation steps for an office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Casters and Gas Lift
First, attach each caster to the chair base one by one, ensuring that the connection between each caster and the base is tight to prevent looseness. After installation, place the gas lift vertically into the center of the chair base, ensuring that the bottom of the gas lift is fully inserted into the fixing hole of the base and remains vertical to provide stable support for subsequent installation.
Step 2: Secure the Seat Plate and Seat
Place the seat plate under the seat, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat). After aligning the screw holes on the seat plate and the seat, use a screwdriver to screw in the screws 3-4 turns each to ensure all screws are initially fixed, then tighten them one by one to prevent the seat plate from tilting or the seat from deforming due to unilateral force.
Step 3: Connect the Backrest and Seat
Choose the installation method according to the backrest design:
- If the backrest needs to be fixed through the armrest brackets, first use 2 C-screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets, then align the back of the backrest with the mounting holes of the seat cushion brackets, and use two wrenches to lock the backrest and seat cushion brackets together with D-screws to ensure there are no gaps at the connection.
- If the backrest is directly connected to the seat, align the buckles or screw holes of the backrest with the corresponding parts of the seat and fix them with screws and tighten.
Step 4: Install the Base
Insert the assembled seat part (including the seat plate and backrest) vertically onto the gas lift, ensuring that the center of the seat is fully in contact with the top of the gas lift. Gently press down on the seat to test whether the lifting function of the gas lift is normal. If there is any jamming, readjust the installation angle.
Step 5: Install the Armrests and Headrest
- Armrest Installation: Press the button under the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, and a 'click' sound indicates that they are properly installed; or first fix the armrests on the brackets, then use screws to fix the brackets to the side of the seat.
- Headrest Installation: Place the headrest in the middle of the top of the backrest, press the installation part of the headrest to make it fit more closely with the backrest, and screw the screws through the headrest fixing buckles and tighten them to ensure the headrest is stable and does not wobble.
Precautions: Avoid excessive force during installation to prevent damage to the parts. All screws should be tightened until they cannot be turned by hand. After installation, check whether each part is flexible (such as the lifting of the gas lift, adjustment of the armrests, and angle adjustment of the headrest) to ensure safe use.
