How to Install an Office Chair
It is recommended to install the office chair from the bottom up, following these specific steps:

Install the Chair Base and Casters Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair base, press vertically or rotate to secure, ensuring each caster is tightly connected to the base. After installation, check that the casters rotate smoothly without jamming or loosening. Then, insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the chair base, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift fits snugly against the base to provide stable support for subsequent installation.
Secure the Seat Plate to the Seat Place the seat plate on the underside of the seat, paying attention to its orientation (usually indicated by markings or grooves for alignment). After aligning it with the screw holes on the seat, use screws to initially secure it. It is recommended to screw each screw in 3-4 turns initially to ensure the seat plate is accurately positioned before tightening them one by one, avoiding tilting of the seat plate or stripping of the screws due to unilateral force.
Connect the Backrest to the Seat Choose the installation method based on the backrest design:
- If the backrest is fixed via armrest brackets, first use 2 screws to initially secure the bottom of the backrest from the underside of the armrest brackets. Then, align the back of the backrest with the mounting holes on the seat bracket, and use two wrenches to tighten the screws, ensuring the backrest is firmly locked to the seat bracket.
- If the backrest is connected via corner brackets, secure the corner brackets to the corresponding holes on the backrest and seat, tighten with screws, and then check that the connection is flat to avoid wobbling.
Assemble the Gas Lift and Seat Assembly Insert the seat assembly, which has already been mounted on the base, vertically into the top of the gas lift, ensuring sufficient insertion depth and a flat contact surface. Gently press down on the seat assembly to test its stability. If the gas lift does not raise or lower properly, check the insertion angle or whether the gas lift is damaged.
Install the Armrests and Headrest
- Armrest Installation: Press the button on the underside of the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets respectively, and confirm they are securely in place upon hearing a 'click' sound.
- Headrest Installation: Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press down on the headrest installation area to make it fit snugly against the backrest, and then insert a screw through the headrest fixing clip and tighten it to prevent the headrest from sliding or falling off.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check that all components are complete to avoid rework due to missing parts during the process.
- When tightening screws, do so in stages to avoid structural misalignment due to unilateral force.
- After installing the gas lift, test its raising and lowering function to ensure safety and flexibility.
- If resistance is encountered during installation, do not force the operation; instead, check whether the holes are aligned or if any components are damaged.
