Office Chair Inspection
Office chair inspection involves multiple aspects such as material quality, physical performance, and structural safety, and can be carried out through sensory evaluation and professional instrument testing.

Sensory evaluation is a fundamental inspection method primarily used for preliminary assessment of material quality. For example, leather materials can be distinguished between genuine leather and artificial leather by observing the naturalness of the texture, touching the surface for softness and resilience, and assessing breathability. Metal components require inspection for uniform surface coatings, absence of rust or scratches, while plastic parts need evaluation for color uniformity and edge smoothness. These methods do not require professional equipment but rely on the experience of inspectors.
Professional testing instruments are the core tools for evaluating office chair quality, adhering to standards such as GB/T10357 and QB/T2280-2007. Taking the backrest recline fatigue test as an example, the instrument conducts durability testing by simulating human usage scenarios: after fixing the chair wheels, an iron disc load is applied to the seat surface to simulate human weight, while a dynamic load with adjustable angle (15 degrees to 90 degrees) and controllable frequency (10 to 30 times per minute) is applied to the backrest, with a test cycle of up to 120,000 times. The process records the number of cycles via an LED counter, adjusts parameters through a PLC control system, and displays the test status in real-time on a touchscreen interface. If the test sample falls due to structural failure, a photoelectric sensor automatically stops the machine and locks the data. Such tests accurately quantify the backrest's fatigue resistance during long-term use.
Comprehensive finished product testing equipment focuses on simulating actual usage scenarios. For example, an office chair rotation tester evaluates the seat's compressive strength and durability during rotation by setting load, pressure duration, and frequency parameters; temperature and humidity adaptability testing equipment simulates extreme environments to assess material deformation rates under high-temperature/high-humidity or low-temperature/dry conditions. These devices ensure repeatability and objectivity of test results through standardized parameter settings.
The inspection process must cover all stages from raw materials to finished products: material inspection ensures no excessive harmful substances, physical performance testing verifies structural stability, and structural safety testing prevents tipping or breakage risks. By combining sensory evaluation with instrument testing, the quality and durability of office chairs can be comprehensively assessed, providing consumers with safe and reliable usage guarantees.
