Imported Materials for Office Chairs
Imported materials for office chairs mainly include solid wood, metal, fiberglass mesh, plastic, and mesh types.

Solid Wood: It is a common high-end wood in imported furniture, such as oak, walnut, and cherry wood. Some solid wood chairs use imported Grade A rubber wood as the frame, which has fine wood grain and high hardness, with an average specific gravity of 620 - 700 kg/cubic meter. It has good overall strength and shock resistance, a stable structure, and is not easily damaged after long-term use, providing good support and stability for office chairs.
Metal: Metal materials such as steel, aluminum, and copper are widely used in the frames, legs, and decorative parts of office chairs. Taking stainless steel chairs as an example, their chair frames undergo cold work hardening during processes like stamping, bending, and welding. The surface grains are compressed and reorganized to form a denser microstructure. The thickened chair legs are not easily bent, and the armrests do not deform easily under long-term load, ensuring the durability and stability of office chairs.
Fiberglass Mesh: Some office chair backs use imported fiberglass mesh. This material has good air permeability and elasticity and has passed the California standard fire test in the United States, providing a certain level of safety performance while ensuring comfort in use.
Plastic:
- High-performance Plastics: For example, the Ultradurยฎ High Speed PBT material used in MYTO chairs combines design with ultra-high strength; the Vegetal chair uses BASF Miramidยฎ plastic, which is refined through a special process and is sturdy and durable; the Ultramidยฎ B3EG10 SI used in Brunner A chairs provides high strength and rigidity through glass fiber reinforcement, and is lightweight and highly durable overall.
- Imported Virgin PP Plastic: It is used to strengthen the firmness of the mesh, making the chair back breathable, comfortable, and safe and reliable.
- Other High-end Plastic Materials: Such as ABS and PC, due to their excellent moldability, texture, and durability, are widely used in the production of chair backs, armrests, and other components.
Mesh:
- American Matrex Mesh: It can withstand 120,000 impacts. It feels a bit sticky to the touch but has extremely strong elasticity. Sitting on it is like being supported by springs, providing good comfort for users.
- South Korean Wintex Mesh: It has a durability of 100,000 impacts, with a smoother surface. Sitting on it is like sitting on the breathable fabric of sports pants, with good air permeability.
