Office Chair Hot Pressing

Admin October 08, 2026

Office chair hot pressing is a process that uses specific equipment to apply pressure and heat to office chair components, enabling material shaping or bonding. Here is a detailed introduction to office chair hot pressing:

Types of Hot Pressing Equipment

  • Guosen Brand Table, Chair, and Stool Board Curved Press Machine: Suitable for the production of curved wooden office chairs. This equipment is simple to operate and reasonably designed. It can place glued wood veneers, solid wood veneers, composite paperboards, or other composite material boards into prefabricated molds. After applying appropriate pressure, the adhesive inside the workpiece is rapidly cured through heating, and the finished product is taken out after cooling. This equipment can meet the processing requirements for the complex curved shapes of curved wooden chairs, ensuring the smoothness of the product's appearance and the stability of its structure.
  • Hot Pressing Molding High-Frequency Machine: Can be used for the hot pressing molding of various types of office chair components, such as toilet seats, wheelchair seats, and chair cushions. The high-frequency machine uses a high-frequency electromagnetic field to cause intense friction among the molecules inside the material, thereby rapidly raising the temperature to achieve hot pressing molding. It has the characteristics of fast heating speed and high efficiency, greatly shortening the production cycle.
  • PU Chair Cushion Hot Press Machine: Specifically designed for the hot pressing processing of chair cushions made of PU material. PU material has good elasticity and comfort. Through the hot press machine, it can be processed into an ergonomic shape, improving the comfort and durability of the cushion.
  • Hydraulic Hot Press Machine: Relies on a hydraulic system to provide pressure, with stable pressure and a wide adjustable range, suitable for the hot pressing of office chair components of different sizes and shapes. It can ensure uniform pressure distribution during the hot pressing process, resulting in better product molding quality.

Hot Pressing Process for Wooden Office Chairs

In the production of wooden office chairs, the main body of the chair is made of multi-layer plywood formed by hot pressing multiple layers of solid wood veneers in a crisscross pattern. This structure enhances the bending resistance of the chair body and reduces the risk of deformation by overlapping solid wood veneers in different directions and utilizing the differences in wood fiber directions. During the hot pressing process, parameters such as temperature, pressure, and time need to be strictly controlled to ensure that the multiple layers of solid wood veneers can be fully bonded to form a solid overall structure.
