Office Chair Home Assembly Guide

Admin October 14, 2026

Here is the home assembly guide for an office chair:

Step 1: Install the Chair Wheels and Five-Star Base Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes at the bottom of the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and secure. After completion, flip the five-star base so that its bottom faces down, forming a stable support structure. Pay attention to keeping the direction of the chair wheels consistent to avoid poor sliding after installation.

Step 2: Secure the Gas Lift Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, place it vertically downward, and press lightly to ensure a tight connection between the gas lift and the five-star base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so it must be kept vertical during installation to avoid functional abnormalities caused by tilting.

Step 3: Connect the Seat Base and Seat Cushion Place the seat base on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the direction of the seat base (usually marked with 'Front' or 'Back' indicators). After aligning it with the four screw holes, screw in the four B screws 3-4 turns one by one, then tighten them gradually after initial fixation. This step requires ensuring that the seat base and seat cushion are fully in contact to avoid abnormal noises or looseness during subsequent use.

Step 4: Install the Seat Cushion and Gas Lift Align the hole at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift, insert it vertically downward until it is fully engaged in the hole of the seat base. Keep it stable during insertion to avoid tilting of the gas lift or misalignment of the seat cushion, which may affect the adjustment function.

Step 5: Secure the Backrest and Armrests Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat cushion, insert them first, and then use two C screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Then align the back of the backrest with the installation holes of the seat cushion bracket, and use two wrenches to lock the D screws in place to ensure that the backrest is stable and does not wobble.

Step 6: Install the Armrests Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, and a 'click' sound indicates that they are installed in place. This step requires checking whether the armrests are level to avoid uneven heights affecting comfort during use.

Step 7: Secure the Headrest Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit the curve of the backrest. Thread two E screws through the headrest fixing clips, screw them in 3-4 turns for initial fixation, and then tighten them one by one. After installation, adjust the height of the headrest to ensure it matches the head support position.

Precautions:

  1. Check that all accessories are complete before assembly to avoid interruption due to missing parts halfway through.
  2. Tighten the screws in stages to avoid over-tightening at once, which may cause the screws to strip.
  3. After installation, test all functions (such as height adjustment, rotation, and backrest adjustment) to ensure they are normal and there are no safety hazards.
