Confirm the Fault

Remove the Old Gas Lift Cylinder

• Method 1: Turn the chair upside down and place it on the ground. Remove the screws that secure the bottom tray, separating the seat cushion from the tray. Then, disassemble the base, gas lift cylinder, and chair legs. If the issue lies with the gas lift cylinder, turn the chair upside down and use the flat side of the hammer to gently tap the bottom of the gas lift cylinder. Be careful not to hit the clip in the middle of the gas lift cylinder during tapping.
• Method 2: Step on the bottom of the chair with both feet and shake it to loosen the stuck parts and lift them up. Then, find a suitable object to tap around the circular area of the gas lift cylinder. Be careful not to tap the bottom. You can also use a wrench or a hammer to tap forcefully along the edge.
• Method 3: Raise the chair to its highest position and gently tap the seat part and the wheel frame with a large hammer to try to knock out the old hydraulic rod. If it cannot be knocked out, use oil for lubrication and then continue the operation.

Install the New Gas Lift Cylinder

Purchase a new gas lift cylinder online that is similar in size to the original one. First, install it onto the base, then put the stool on top, and finally, sit on it to press it tightly to ensure a secure installation.
