The methods for installing a headrest on an office chair vary depending on the model, with common installation methods including model-specific installation and general installation methods.

Model-Specific Installation Methods

• W208 Computer Chair: When installing, first align the headrest with the hanger track and insert it, ensuring a good fit between the headrest and the track. Then, use two fine-medium screws to firmly secure the headrest to the backrest. Tighten the screws to prevent the headrest from loosening.
• Yongbo 988 Computer Chair: Align the headrest with the holes on the backrest precisely. Then, connect them using screws and tighten the screws with a wrench to ensure the headrest is firmly installed and can withstand a certain amount of external force.

General Installation Methods

• Preparation: Before installation, carefully check the accessories that come with the headrest to ensure that the headrest body, mounting rod, fixing screws, etc., are all present and undamaged. Also, prepare appropriate tools such as a screwdriver for subsequent installation operations.
• Determine the Installation Position: Most computer chairs have reserved installation slots or sockets at the top of the backrest. In this case, simply align the headrest with the corresponding position. For models without pre-set installation positions, choose a position that fits the neck according to the curvature at the top of the backrest to ensure comfort during use.
• Fix According to the Installation Method
  • Insertable Headrest: Align the mounting rod with the socket at the top of the backrest, confirm the correct orientation, and then press down on the headrest. If the headrest rod has an adjustment lever, align the lever with the hole with the locking button, press the locking key, and then press down fully to ensure the headrest is firmly installed and the adjustment function works properly.
  • Screw-Fixed Headrest: First, insert the headrest rod into the pre-set slot, and then use a screwdriver to tighten the matching fixing screws to connect the headrest tightly to the backrest.
  • Adhesive/Snap-In Headrest: Directly align the headrest with the pre-set adhesive position or slot on the backrest and press firmly to secure it. For models with brackets, first fix the bracket base and then install the headrest cushion.
• Test the Firmness: After installation, gently shake the headrest to check if it is firmly installed. If the headrest supports height and angle adjustments, also test whether the adjustment functions are smooth to ensure there will be no loosening or malfunctions during use.
