Office Chair Hanging

There are various considerations in Feng Shui and decoration when hanging clothes or calligraphy/paintings on office chairs. Proper arrangement can enhance the aura and fortune.

Feng Shui Considerations for Hanging Clothes on Office Chairs

1. Color Selection: Earthy yellow or yellow is preferred, symbolizing a 'man-made backing' and implying support from behind. Neutral colors like beige and camel, or navy blue, convey professionalism. Warm colors can be used to counteract the feeling of 'no support' when facing the main door directly. Mint green in summer and dark brown in winter are suitable choices; those whose fate avoids earth can choose burgundy. Avoid red, purple (fire element), dark blue, black (water element, which can cause drowsiness in poor lighting), and fluorescent colors.
2. Material Selection: Cotton and linen materials are the best, as their natural simplicity facilitates the flow of aura. Synthetic reflective fabrics should be avoided as they can reflect away good fortune.
3. Hanging Method and Quantity: Clothes should be neatly draped over the chair back. If the backrest is low, a cushion in a matching color can be added for extra support. Limit the number of colors to two main ones to avoid clutter or a 'pressing' feeling.
4. Other Considerations: Keep clothes tidy and avoid disarray. Green plants (to add vitality) or screens (to deflect negative energy) can be used as complements.

Feng Shui Considerations for Hanging Calligraphy or Paintings Behind Office Chairs

1. Suitable for Hanging Behind the Chair: Calligraphy, oil paintings, and traditional Chinese paintings are all suitable. Calligraphy showcases taste, while paintings enhance the aura.
2. Recommended Content:
   • Traditional Chinese Painting of the Great Wall: Symbolizes career advancement and success, boosting good fortune in attracting influential people.
   • Feng Shui Backing Mountain Painting: Such as 'Rising Sun over the Mountains', with towering peaks and a rising sun, symbolizing stability and upward movement.
   • Open Landscape Painting: Such as 'High Residence by the Stream and Mountains', with an expansive layout that broadens one's vision and mind.
3. Feng Shui Effects: Having a wall behind the chair is equivalent to having a 'backing mountain'. Hanging calligraphy or paintings can enhance good fortune in attracting influential people and improve work efficiency. A plain white wall can appear cold and affect aesthetics and fortune.
4. Considerations for Hanging Calligraphy:
   • Positive Content: Avoid dark tones or negative content. Worn-out calligraphy or paintings should be discarded.
   • Appropriate Size: The size of the calligraphy or painting should be in harmony with the office space. Be cautious about hanging in the north direction (which may suppress talent).
   • Unfounded Taboos: Taboos like 'hanging calligraphy brings bad luck' are misconceptions. While they can be disregarded, attention should still be paid to content and placement.
