Office Chair Handle Adjustment

Admin October 22, 2026

Office chair handle adjustments offer a variety of functions, mainly including height adjustment, backrest adjustment, and tilt-range adjustment. Here are the specific adjustment methods:

Height Adjustment

  • Single-Handle Adjustment: When there is a single handle beneath the chair seat, to adjust the height of the armchair, lift the handle upwards. At this point, the high-pressure gas inside the air rod is compressed and then rebounds, causing the seat to rise. If you want to lower the armchair, turn the handle upwards, lift your hand, and sit on the chair. The rebound of the high-pressure air in the air rod is blocked, and the chair will descend.
  • Dual-Adjustment Lever Adjustment: If there are two adjustment levers beneath the seat, one of them is used for height adjustment. Sit on the seat, lift the handle, adjust the seat to the desired height, and then release the handle.
  • Dual-Handle Adjustment: When there are two handles beneath the chair, one of them can adjust the chair's height. First, try to determine which handle controls the height adjustment. Once found, follow the adjustment methods mentioned above for the single-handle or dual-adjustment lever.

Backrest Adjustment

  • Angle Adjustment: Sit on the computer chair, locate the adjustment handle on the right side of the seat, pull the handle, and at the same time, lean back slightly with your back. Release the handle, and the backrest angle will be fixed. If you want to return the backrest to its original position, continue pulling the handle and apply a slight force with your back, and the chair back will spring back.
  • Backrest Flattening: Generally, there is a pull rod under the right armrest. Pulling this pull rod can flatten the backrest.

Tilt-Range Adjustment

Sit on the office chair and feel the current tilt range. Find a comfortable posture and then rotate the rotatable handle beneath the chair. The looser the adjustment, the less force is required to lean back. After adjustment, sit on the chair and rock back and forth to confirm whether the backrest range is appropriate. If not, continue to fine-tune the handle until the desired state is achieved.
