Government Subsidies for Office Chairs

Admin October 10, 2026

There are differences in the government subsidy policies for office chairs in Nanjing and Yichang in 2025, and it is necessary to choose the applicable policy according to the region. Details are as follows:

I. Nanjing Subsidy Policy

  1. Subsidy Standard: When purchasing office chairs, consumers can enjoy a subsidy of 15% of the final selling price of the product; if the product is of Grade 1 energy efficiency or water efficiency, the subsidy ratio is increased to 20%. The maximum subsidy amount per person is 10,000 yuan, which means that regardless of the number of products purchased, the cumulative subsidy will not exceed this limit.
  2. Participating Merchants: Only merchants that have passed strict government screening are eligible, ensuring that the products sold are genuine and preventing counterfeit and shoddy goods from entering the market.
  3. Application Method: Both online and offline purchases are supported. Consumers need to carry their identification documents to complete identity verification. The subsidy amount is directly deducted at the time of payment, and no subsequent application process is required. There is a limit of 2 subsidies per person for both online and offline channels, meaning that each person can enjoy a maximum of 2 subsidies through online and offline channels respectively.
  4. Precautions: In case of a return, only the amount actually paid by the consumer will be refunded, and the subsidy funds already enjoyed will not be refunded; the delivery address must be within Jiangsu Province, otherwise, participation in the subsidy activity is not possible.

II. Yichang Subsidy Policy

  1. Subsidy Standard: A fixed-amount deduction model is adopted, directly linked to the product price:
    • For a single purchase of 3,000 yuan or more, a deduction of 450 yuan is applied;
    • For a single purchase of 5,000 yuan or more, a deduction of 750 yuan is applied;
    • For a single purchase of 10,000 yuan or more, a deduction of 1,500 yuan is applied.
      The policy does not explicitly limit the number of subsidies or the total amount limit, but the single-purchase threshold must be met.
  2. Scope of Application: It covers 20 categories of products including chairs, without separately distinguishing office chairs from other types of chairs. All chairs that meet the conditions are eligible for the subsidy.
  3. Application Method: The policy does not mention online purchase channels, and it may mainly focus on offline store consumption. Specific details need to be based on the local implementation rules.

III. Policy Comparison and Suggestions

  • Nanjing's policy is more suitable for consumers who purchase high-priced products or Grade 1 energy-efficient products, especially enterprises or individuals that need to purchase office chairs in bulk. They can make full use of the 10,000-yuan subsidy limit through multiple purchases.
  • Yichang's policy is more suitable for scenarios with a large single-purchase amount, such as purchasing multiple chairs or high-end products at once. The direct deduction method is more intuitive.
  • Common requirements: In both places, consumers need to actively confirm the merchant's qualifications and retain payment vouchers for verification; the return rules need to be understood in advance to avoid disputes due to the non-refund of subsidy funds.
