Office Chair Gas Spring
The office chair gas spring is a device that enables height adjustment without the need for a power source, using high-pressure nitrogen inside to drive the piston rod's extension and retraction. It is primarily used to adjust the height or tilt of an office chair.

Working Principle of Gas Springs
The core principle of gas springs is based on the high-pressure nitrogen filled inside. Their internal structure includes components such as an outer cylinder, inner cylinder, piston, and piston rod, with the control device hermetically installed at the upper end of the inner cylinder. By controlling the valve to regulate the connection and isolation between the two gas chambers, the pressure difference drives the extension and retraction of the piston rod, thereby achieving the height adjustment function of the office chair. For example, when the valve is opened, high-pressure nitrogen flows from the high-pressure chamber to the low-pressure chamber, pushing the piston rod out and raising the chair surface; conversely, it lowers the chair surface.
Disassembly Method of Gas Springs
Disassembling a gas spring requires following specific steps to avoid damaging components. First, evenly apply lubricant to the connection between the chair seat base and the gas spring, and wait for at least half an hour for the lubricant to fully penetrate and soften any potential rust or adhesion. Subsequently, use a rubber mallet to evenly tap the four corners of the chair seat base, loosening the connection through vibration. Next, apply lubricant to the connection between the five-star base and the gas spring, and tap the outer periphery of the gas spring's bottom to separate it from the five-star base. When tapping, use a cloth to prevent the five-star base from chipping or cracking.
Certification Standards for High-Quality Gas Springs
High-quality gas springs must meet stringent safety and performance standards. The purity of the nitrogen inside must meet specified requirements to ensure stability and safety during the lifting process. Additionally, they must pass certification from third-party organizations such as SGS and TรV, and comply with the EN16955 strength rating standard. These certifications demonstrate that the gas springs meet international norms in terms of pressure resistance and durability, reducing the risk of explosion or leakage during use.
