Office Chair Function Diagram
The functions of an office chair mainly include adjusting the backrest hardness, adjusting the chair height, locking and unlocking functions, and some even have a reclining function and ergonomic design.

Adjusting the backrest hardness: This is a fundamental and important function of an office chair. Usually, there is a knob located at the bottom or side of the chair backrest. By rotating this knob clockwise, the chair backrest can be made harder. This increase in hardness provides stronger support for the user, especially suitable for those who work in a seated position for long periods and need firm support for their lower back. Conversely, rotating the knob counterclockwise makes the chair backrest softer, offering more flexible support to meet the personalized comfort needs of different users, such as those who prefer a softer backrest feel.
Adjusting the chair height: The height adjustment function of an office chair is crucial for accommodating different heights and usage scenarios. Generally, there is a lever under the chair seat. By rotating this lever up and down, the height of the chair can be adjusted. When the lever is rotated upwards, the chair rises, suitable for taller users or those who need to maintain an appropriate height difference between the work surface and their eyes. Rotating the lever downwards lowers the chair, making it convenient for shorter users or for scenarios where a lower body position is required for a more stable sitting posture.
Locking and unlocking functions: Some office chairs are equipped with locking and unlocking functions, usually operated by a lever. When the lever is pushed inwards, the chair is in a locked state, fixing the current parameters such as height and backrest angle, preventing accidental changes to the chair's state during use, which could affect the user experience and safety. Pulling the lever outwards unlocks the chair, allowing the user to freely adjust its various functions.
Reclining function: Some high-end office chairs have a reclining function that allows free suspension from 90ยฐ to 160ยฐ. This enables users to lie down comfortably during work breaks to relieve physical fatigue. This function is usually achieved through a specific mechanical structure, allowing the chair to remain stable at different angles according to the user's needs.
Ergonomic design: Some office chairs adopt an ergonomic design. For example, an adaptive lumbar support can automatically adjust the support force and angle according to the user's lumbar curve, providing more tailored support. An adjustable headrest can be moved up and down and back and forth to meet the neck support needs of users of different heights. Adjustable armrests can be adjusted in height and angle to provide comfortable support for the user's arms.
