Office Chair Full Inspection

Admin October 12, 2026

Office chair full inspection covers seat surface, backrest, armrests, lateral stability, and other specialized testing items, requiring professional equipment to ensure quality compliance.

I. Testing Items

  1. Seat Surface Testing

    • Seat Cushion Durability Impact Test: By repeatedly dropping a standard weighted sandbag onto the center of the seat surface, this test simulates long-term usage scenarios to detect whether permanent sagging of the sponge/mesh, fabric cracking, or frame delamination and deformation occur.
    • Chassis and Pneumatic Rod Strength Test: Long-term cyclic impact is applied to the chassis and lifting pneumatic rod to identify issues such as breakage, air leakage, jamming, or loose screws and abnormal noises.
    • Five-Star Base Support Reliability Test: Force is transmitted to the five-star base to verify whether plastic/nylon/steel bases crack and whether there are potential damage risks at the caster mounting positions.
    • Single Destructive Drop Impact Test: A heavy sandbag is dropped from a fixed height to simulate a heavy object suddenly sitting down, instantly verifying the ultimate structural strength of the entire chair.
  2. Backrest Testing

    • Backrest Pull Fatigue Test: By simulating the human body's reclining motion, this test performs reciprocating tensile force trials on the backrest to verify the durability of the panel, support frame, and reclining mechanism, and to screen for faults such as deformation, hinge looseness, or reclining failure.
  3. Armrest Testing

    • Armrest Strength and Durability Test: Vertical and horizontal loads are applied to the left and right armrests respectively to detect the firmness of the body, connecting screws, and welding points, and to determine whether cracking, detachment, or shaking occur during long-term use.
  4. Lateral Stability Testing

    • Lateral Stability and Rocking Test: A horizontal thrust is applied to the entire chair to simulate scenarios of being pushed or leaning sideways, testing the frame's resistance to lateral movement and overturning, and examining the reliability of the connection between the table and chair and the caster assembly parts.
  5. Other Specialized Tests

    • Footrest and Reclining Mechanism Specialized Test: Cyclic tests are conducted on models with footrests and reclining mechanisms to verify the service life of the accessories and movable mechanisms.

II. Testing Equipment

  1. Office Chair Seat Surface Repeated Impact Tester: This machine replicates the real-life scenario of repeated sitting by a person and quickly verifies the durability of the seat through tens of thousands of cyclic impacts. It has advantages such as accurate force measurement, adjustable parameters, and comprehensive safety protection.
  2. Office Chair Comprehensive Mechanical Tester: This tester integrates multiple testing functions such as static strength, dynamic fatigue, stability, and impact. It supports modular control, is compatible with all types of specifications, and provides reliable and highly versatile data.

III. Applicable Scenarios The full inspection process is applicable to raw material sampling inspections, new model verifications, and finished product factory inspections in production factories, export factory inspections for foreign trade enterprises (such as North American BIFMA and EU EN1335 standards), and commissioned testing services by third-party laboratories.
