Office Chair Free Tray
Admin October 14, 2026
The office chair free tray is an embedded tray that can be fixed to the armrest of a seat, primarily used for eating, working, and leisure scenarios, offering both convenience and a certain level of installation complexity.

Core Functions and Usage Scenarios
The free tray is securely attached to the seat armrest using clamping devices or other fixing measures, providing a flat platform to meet the needs of various scenarios:
- Dining Scenarios: The tray is flat and stable, suitable for placing cutlery and food. It is especially useful for temporary meals during long trips, movie watching, or working from home, reducing the need to get up and fetch items.
- Office Scenarios: It can serve as a support platform for laptops or documents, facilitating light office tasks while seated and improving space utilization.
- Leisure Scenarios: It supports the placement of mobile phones, tablets, and other devices, making it convenient for watching dramas, reading, or gaming, enhancing the entertainment function of the seat.
Usage Precautions
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the tray surface before use to avoid oil stains or debris affecting its functionality; promptly clean up residues after use to prevent bacterial growth or material corrosion.
- Proper Item Placement: Ensure food or items are placed securely to prevent the tray from tilting or overturning due to a shift in the center of gravity; heavy items should be placed as close to the center of the armrest as possible to reduce the pressure on the fixing device caused by the lever effect.
- Safety Inspection: Regularly check the tightness of the clamping device or fixing screws to prevent the tray from slipping due to looseness, especially to avoid the tray falling and injuring the user or damaging the seat.
Advantages and Disadvantages Analysis
- Advantages:
- High Functional Integration: A single tray can meet dining, office, and leisure needs, reducing reliance on additional tables.
- Space Adaptability: Suitable for small spaces or temporary scenarios, such as dormitories, office cubicles, or mobile seats.
- Disadvantages:
- Installation Risks: If not fixed properly or if the seat armrest material is fragile, it may damage the armrest surface or cause the tray to detach.
- Size Limitations: A tray that is too small cannot accommodate large items (such as laptops), while a tray that is too large may obstruct the view or increase safety hazards (such as collision risks).
Installation Process (Taking the top-spec free tray as an example)
- Prepare Materials: Confirm that the installation package contains 5 wheels, a backrest cover plate, a screw pack, a four-stage gas rod, and other parts, and check for any missing or damaged items.
- Install the Base: Align the wheel clips with the chair leg interfaces and press them in to ensure they are secure, then cover with the backrest cover plate.
- Fix the Gas Rod: Insert the four-stage gas rod into the center installation position of the base and press lightly until it is fully fixed.
- Assemble the Seat Cushion and Tray: Flip the seat cushion and fix the free tray using the second shortest screw with a washer (the process is the same as for seat cushion installation).
- Fix the Backrest: Align with the base holes, tighten with the provided screws, and then cover with the silver decorative cover plate.
- Install the Armrests: Unscrew the reserved screws and install the armrests marked 'L/R' according to the direction, ensuring the hole side faces the user; you can use a box to elevate it for easier operation.
- Add the Footrest: Align with the installation position and fix it with screws, keeping the remaining screws as spares.
It is recommended to carefully read the official manual before installation or contact the brand's customer service to confirm details to avoid damage to parts or functional abnormalities due to improper operation.
