Replacement of Five-Pronged Base (Star Base) for Office Chairs:

1. Standard Procedure:
   • If there is a flat washer retaining clip at the connection between the star base and the gas lift, first remove the clip, then pull out the old star base and install the new one.
   • If there is no clip, the star base and the steel column form a conical press-fit structure. Use a hammer to gently tap until it detaches, then insert the new star base.
2. Key Considerations:
   • Parameter Matching: The outer diameter of the gas lift for the new five-pronged base (commonly 28mm/32mm/35mm), the mounting hole spacing (such as 100mm/110mm center distance), and the type of tilt mechanism interface (snap-on/threaded) must match the original parts; otherwise, it may result in misalignment or wobbling.
   • Brand Differences: The tilt axis of five-pronged bases from different brands may have offsets, which can accelerate the loosening of the chair back over long-term use. It is recommended to prioritize original or brands with verified compatibility.
   • Material and Workmanship: Low-priced products often use Q235 cold-rolled steel with ordinary powder coating, which is prone to paint bubbling and screw hole rusting; high-quality products use Q345 high-strength steel with triple electroplating (nickel + copper + chromium), passing salt spray tests for over 48 hours without red rust, offering better durability.
   • Safety Services: It is advisable to choose suppliers that offer on-site measurement, removal of old parts and installation of new ones, balance adjustment, and recycling of old parts to avoid risks such as gas lift ejection or caster detachment during self-installation.

Installation of F28 New Inclined Leg Chair Foot:

1. Unscrew the reserved screws on the footrest frame, align and insert the steel tubes on both sides, and tighten the screws with a wrench.
2. Fix the angle iron to the footplate with 4 fine short screws, then fix the other side of the angle iron to the footrest frame with 4 coarse medium screws, and insert the knob.
3. Sequentially fix the holes of the armrests with the backrest and seat cushion using fine short screws, paying attention to adjusting the front-back position of the seat cushion.
4. Fix the footrest frame to the seat cushion with fine extended screws. After installation, the armrests can be flipped 90° for storage.
5. Leveling Adjustment: If the chair foot wobbles, first install foot pins for leveling (tighten after adding 2 washers), and slightly rotate one foot pin to adjust until stable.
