Office Chair Foot Disassembly
There are several methods for disassembling the feet of an office chair, and you can choose the appropriate one based on different situations:
Method 1: Shaking and Pulling for Disassembly
This method is suitable for most ordinary office chairs. During operation, step on the five-star footrest below with one foot to fix it and prevent the chair from moving during disassembly. Then, firmly grasp both sides of the seat cushion with both hands, shake it left and right while pulling it upwards at the same time. Continue this action, shake for a while to gradually loosen the components at the connection between the foot and the seat cushion. If there is no response after following the above steps, don't worry. Try grasping the other two sides of the seat cushion and repeat the action of shaking left and right and pulling upwards until the foot is removed. This method uses a combination of shaking and pulling actions to reduce the friction between the connecting components with external force, thereby achieving the purpose of disassembly.
Method 2: Inverted Disassembly
Gently invert the chair onto the ground so that you can clearly see the structure at the bottom of the central column. Check if there is a flat washer snap ring at the bottom of the central column. If there is a flat washer snap ring, use an appropriate tool, such as a screwdriver, to remove it. After removing the flat washer snap ring, you can easily pull out the old five-star foot and then replace it with a new one. If there is no flat washer snap ring at the bottom of the central column, the connection between the five-star foot and the steel column is usually conical, and they are pressed together by weight. In this case, you can gently tap the five-star foot with a hammer to gradually loosen the connection until the five-star foot comes off, and then install the new five-star foot.
Special Case: Disassembly of the Footrest of the Sihoo C Series C300/C500
For the footrest of the Sihoo C series C300/C500, the disassembly method is relatively simple. Since it is fixed with three screws, you only need to prepare an appropriate screwdriver and remove these three screws one by one to disassemble the footrest for replacement and other operations.
