Office Chair Foot Accessories
Office chair foot accessories mainly include three types: nylon footrests, solid wood feet, and furniture leg caps. Each type differs in material, function, and installation method.

Nylon footrests are a common feature of nylon-footed office chairs. Typically made from high-strength nylon material, they are lightweight, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. Their structure generally includes five casters, facilitating flexible movement of the chair on the floor, and is equipped with four long screws to secure the footrest to the chair seat, ensuring overall stability. This type of footrest is suitable for various floor environments, especially scenarios requiring frequent chair movement, such as offices and conference rooms.
Solid wood feet are more commonly found on high-end or traditionally styled office chairs, such as those with red heart solid wood feet. Their material is usually hardwood, such as oak or walnut, featuring natural grain patterns and high load-bearing capacity. During installation, the pneumatic rod must be vertically inserted into the center hole of the chair foot and securely fixed with screws or clips to ensure the stability of the chair's lifting function. Solid wood feet are suitable for pairing with wooden or leather chair seats, creating aๆฒ็จณ (steady and dignified) andๅคงๆฐ (impressive) office atmosphere. However, care should be taken to avoid using them in humid environments to prevent wood deformation.
Furniture leg caps are protective accessories that fit over the feet of furniture. Their primary function is to prevent hard table or stool feet from wearing down the floor surface during movement while reducing friction noise through cushioning materials. Common materials include silicone, felt, and fabric. Among them, silicone leg caps are wear-resistant and slip-resistant, suitable for marble or tile floors; felt leg caps are softer, ideal for wooden floors or carpets; and fabric leg caps are often used in more decorative settings. The installation method for leg caps is simple, usually just slipping them directly onto the chair feet without the need for additional tools.
The choice of different foot accessories should be based on actual needs: if frequent chair movement is required, nylon footrests offer good value for money; if texture and stability are pursued, solid wood feet are more suitable; if floor protection or noise reduction is needed, furniture leg caps are practical accessories.
