Office Chair Fixed Lock

Admin October 12, 2026

There are mainly two types of office chair fixed locks: physical locking solutions to prevent others from using the chair and the recline locking function.

Physical Locking Solutions to Prevent Others from Using the Chair

  • Chain Lock: Composed of a high-strength chain and a lock core, when in use, the chain is wrapped around load-bearing and non-removable parts of the office chair, such as the chair legs and armrest bases, and then the lock core is fastened. It is suitable for most office chairs with regular structures, is affordable, and easy to operate. It can effectively restrict the chair from being moved or used, making it suitable for both daily commuting and temporary placement in the office.
  • Combination Padlock: Does not rely on a key; it unlocks and locks through a preset digital password. When in use, simply clip the lock onto the space between the chair legs or the gaps in the chair frame to complete the locking. This type of lock is suitable for scenarios where one is worried about losing the key and needs quick unlocking. There is no need to carry an extra key; once the password is set, the chair can be locked at any time.
  • Flexible Cable Lock: The main body of the cable lock is a metal cable with a covering layer, which is more flexible and can easily wrap around office chairs with irregular shapes, such as those with special armrests or chair legs of varying thicknesses. It has a wider range of applications, not only can it fix the chair legs but also can bind the chair to nearby fixed furniture, such as the legs of an office desk, further enhancing the security of preventing chair theft.

Office Chair Recline Locking Function

The chair can be locked at any recline angle and will not keep bouncing back. An ordinary rocking chair can only keep swaying and cannot be fixed at an angle. This function is extremely useful for taking a short nap during lunch break. With the recline lock, you can lie back at a comfortable angle and stay fixed without having to constantly push against the backrest, allowing you to relax effortlessly and sleep more soundly. When relaxing and watching TV or playing with your phone, locking the semi-reclined angle means your body doesn't have to deliberately maintain balance, and your lower back can fully relax. When sitting upright for work without sliding backward, if you don't want to recline, simply lock it in the upright position, and the backrest will remain completely still, forcing you to sit upright and reducing the likelihood of slouching or bending your back. However, people who only sit upright for work, never recline, and never take lunch breaks; those with very small workstations where reclining would hit the desk behind; and those with a limited budget who only want a basic sitting experience don't need to buy this function. When purchasing, pay attention to the locking structure with a thickened steel plate chassis; poor-quality locks may not hold and will automatically bounce back after prolonged use.
