Office Chair Fixed Legs

Admin October 12, 2026

Office chair fixed legs mainly come in two types: fixed-leg bow chairs and fixed-leg casters, each with its unique characteristics.

Fixed-leg bow chairs do not have wheels; their legs form a complete bow-shaped steel frame. This design ensures the chair is stable as soon as it touches the ground, with the legs molded as a single piece without any welds. When under pressure, the entire steel frame can evenly distribute the load, and the reinforced bottom crossbeam combined with non-slip feet further enhances the chair's stability. Since there is no need for extra space for sliding back and forth, it occupies minimal space. When not in use, it can be easily pushed under the desk, with the backrest flush with the desktop, not taking up additional aisle space. This makes it ideal for office environments with limited space or where chairs do not need to be moved frequently. For example, in offices or meeting rooms that require quietness and tidiness, fixed-leg bow chairs provide stable support while reducing noise and disturbances caused by chair movement.

There are also various types of fixed-leg casters for office chairs on the market, such as 2-inch swivel chair fixed casters and reinforced solid swivel chair fixed casters. These casters often feature snap-in foot pads with non-slip functions, ensuring the chair does not slide randomly during use and guaranteeing the safety of the user. Some fixed-leg casters can also be equipped with felt pads, which reduce friction and noise between the casters and the ground while protecting the floor from scratches. This design of fixed-leg casters is suitable for office scenarios where chairs need to be moved occasionally but not be overly flexible. For instance, when adjusting seating positions to meet different work needs, fixed-leg casters provide a certain degree of mobility while maintaining the relative stability of the chair.

Different types of office chair fixed legs have their own advantages and disadvantages. When choosing, it is necessary to comprehensively consider specific office needs, spatial environment, and personal preferences to ensure the selection of the most suitable type of office chair fixed legs.
