Office Chair Fixed Leg

Admin October 09, 2026

The methods for fixing the legs of an office chair mainly fall into two categories: fixing the legs to the seat cushion and leveling the legs. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Fixing the Legs to the Seat Cushion Different models of chair legs require corresponding screw specifications and installation methods, which must strictly follow the product instructions:

  1. F28 New Inclined Leg Chair Legs: When installing, precisely align the footrest with the reserved holes on the seat cushion and use 4 fine extended screws with a specification of 6x40 for fixation. The screws must fully penetrate the corresponding holes in the footrest and seat cushion to ensure a tight and secure connection without any looseness.
  2. W889 New Inclined Leg Chair Legs: These also use 4 fine long screws for fixation, but require the use of a wrench. When installing, pass the screws one by one through the holes in the footrest and seat cushion, and use the wrench to tighten them in a diagonal sequence to prevent the footrest from tilting due to unilateral force.

II. Leveling the Chair Legs If the chair legs wobble after installation, leveling adjustments need to be made using foot pins and washers:

  1. Basic Leveling: Sequentially place 2 metal washers onto the foot pins (usually made of rubber or plastic), and then vertically tighten the foot pins into the threaded holes at the bottom of the chair legs. The purpose of the washers is to increase friction and distribute pressure, preventing the foot pins from loosening.
  2. Fine Adjustment: If the chair legs are still slightly uneven, fine-tune them by rotating the foot pins on one side. For example, if the chair legs tilt to the right, rotate the right foot pin counterclockwise (to lower the height) or the left foot pin clockwise (to raise the height). Each rotation should be about 1/4 of a turn until the chair legs make stable contact with the ground.

Precautions:

  • Before installation, confirm that the screw specifications match the chair leg model to avoid structural damage caused by screws that are too long or too short.
  • When using a wrench, control the force to prevent the screws from stripping or the chair legs from cracking due to over-tightening.
  • After adjusting the foot pins, check that the chair legs make even contact with the ground to ensure there are no localๆ‚ฌ็ฉบ (hanging in the air) phenomena.
  • If the wobbling problem persists, it may be due to deformation of the chair legs or deviation in the seat cushion holes, and you should contact after-sales service to replace the parts.

By following these steps, you can effectively solve the fixation and stability issues of office chair legs, extend the product's service life, and enhance user comfort.
