Office Chair Finished Product Inspection
Admin October 10, 2026
The inspection of finished office chairs requires a systematic check from multiple aspects, including pre-inspection preparations, core on-site inspection processes and items, and material inspections.

Pre-Inspection Preparations
- Confirm Acceptance Criteria: Unify with the supplier on the use of the AQL Level II sampling standard, clearly defining acceptance criteria for major defects (such as structural issues and functional failures) and minor defects (such as cosmetic flaws).
- Collect Technical Documents: Prepare product specifications, purchase orders, sample approval reports, packaging design documents (including shipping mark information), etc.
- Prepare Inspection Tools: Bring tools such as a spirit level, tape measure, torque wrench, push-pull force gauge, hygrometer (for detecting wood moisture content), and a camera (for recording on-site conditions).
Core On-Site Inspection Processes and Items
- Packaging and Labeling Inspection: Verify the information on the front and side shipping marks of the outer carton, measure the outer carton dimensions and weigh it; inspect the inner packaging materials and methods to ensure that hardware accessories, installation tools, and instruction manuals are complete; conduct drop tests to assess the packaging's protective capabilities.
- Appearance Quality Inspection: Check surface treatments, such as whether there are any tears, stains, or color differences on mesh, leather, or foam surfaces; inspect the structure and workmanship, such as whether the edges are flat, whether there are any cracks, warping, or deformation on the wood surface; check if the chair's four legs are balanced, whether the wood knots are prominent, whether the paint or electroplating is peeling, whether the joints are tight, whether the armrests are parallel, whether the colors of the seat and back cushions and armrest pads are consistent, whether the stitching is even, whether the filling is sufficient, whether there are any stains, dust, or flaws on the surface, whether there are any cracks or flaws in the wood, and whether the iron parts are rusty or have sharp edges.
- Structural and Functional Testing: Conduct rocking tests and static load tests to check the stability of the basic structure; test core functions such as height adjustment, recline, armrest adjustment, and seat and headrest adjustment; perform simulated safety and durability tests such as impact tests, chair wheel and five-star base tests, and armrest strength tests; test the chair's rotation and height adjustment functions to ensure smooth operation without jamming.
Material Inspection
The materials for the seat and backrest should be environmentally friendly materials that comply with national standards, free from harmful substances such as formaldehyde, and the materials' strength, wear resistance, and elasticity should meet relevant standards.
Main Testing Standards Followed
Reference can be made to standards such as GB/T 3324 - 2008, GB 18584 - 2001, and GB/T 3325 - 2008.
