Office Chair Feng Shui Adjustment

Admin October 19, 2026

Office chair Feng Shui adjustment should be considered comprehensively from four aspects: the front, back, sides, and position of the seat to create a harmonious and stable office environment and enhance work efficiency and interpersonal relationships.

Front of the seat: The line of sight should be kept open and unobstructed. If the front directly faces another person's seat, it can easily cause visual conflicts and distract attention. Placing potted plants or file dividers between the two can serve as a buffer and add vitality. The front should not be set as a traffic path, such as a corridor or an area with frequent foot traffic, as the flowing energy can make it difficult to concentrate and affect work efficiency.

Back of the seat: It needs to be solid and stable, symbolizing financial security and career advancement. There should be a wall or cabinet as support behind the seat to avoid feeling "empty" or having a window behind, which can lead to a lack of security and affect career development. At the same time, the back should not be too far from the wall or too empty to prevent others from passing behind and causing psychological pressure. If it is not possible to lean against the wall, a low cabinet or screen can be placed between the chair back and the wall to create an "artificial support".

Sides of the seat: The left and right sides represent interpersonal relationships. The left side is the Green Dragon position, symbolizing favorable relationships, and green plants or decorations can be appropriately placed to enhance cooperation opportunities; the right side is the White Tiger position, representing unfavorable factors, and it should be kept clean and tidy, avoiding the stacking of clutter or sharp objects to prevent conflicts. If there is no support on either side, it is easy to fall into a situation of fighting alone, and this can be improved by adjusting the seat or placing items that symbolize partners (such as a photo of two people).

Position of the seat: It should avoid being cut by asymmetrical aisles or seats, as this can easily lead toไธ้กบ (which can be translated as "setbacks" or "difficulties") or friction among colleagues. Placing the seat near the door may affect work efficiency as frequent opening and closing of the door can distract attention. It is recommended to move away from the door appropriately as the position rises, and ordinary employees should also adjust according to their position levels, placing the seat in a relatively rear position to reflect authority and reduce external interference. If space is limited, partitions or green plants can be used to divide the area and create a relatively independent workspace.
