Office Chair Factory Test
The factory test of office chairs mainly includes two core aspects: the five-star base test and the general-purpose large office chair test.

Five-Star Base Test
The five-star base is the core load-bearing component of an office chair. Its testing equipment is developed in strict accordance with international office furniture testing standards such as GB/T 10357, QB/T 2280, and BIFMA. The equipment integrates multiple testing functions, including static pressure holding, reciprocating fatigue, and vertical compression resistance, enabling precise simulation of real-world working conditions such as prolonged static sitting pressure, daily movement alternating forces, and eccentric heavy-load bearing. Through these tests, the compressive strength, structural stability, deformation resistance, and fatigue durability of the five-star base material can be comprehensively evaluated. The overall load-bearing quality of the base is digitally verified to ensure that the five-star base will not break or deform during long-term use, thereby guaranteeing the safety and stability of the office chair.
General-Purpose Large Office Chair Test
- Testing Items and Scope: This covers multiple dimensions, including physical and mechanical properties, safety performance, and chemical environmental protection performance. Specific testing parameters include the durability of the seat and backrest (such as cyclic loading tests), reciprocating wear tests on casters, leg strength (forward and lateral static loads), armrest strength and durability, stability (tipping characteristics), durability and safety of pneumatic rods (gas springs), seat impact performance, flame retardancy, and the presence of harmful substances in materials (such as formaldehyde emissions and heavy metal content). The testing scope is clearly defined as finished large office chairs commonly used by adults in indoor office environments, with or without armrests, and that are rotatable or non-rotatable.
- Testing Instruments and Equipment: Core equipment includes multi-functional mechanical testing machines, stability testing platforms, caster wear testing machines, seat impact testing machines, and gas spring fatigue testing machines. Auxiliary equipment includes environmental chambers, flame retardancy testers, dimensional measurement tools, and various specialized fixtures for fixation and loading. All these devices must meet the accuracy and controllability requirements for parameters such as force value, displacement, speed, and frequency specified in relevant standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing results.
- Standard Testing Methods and Procedures: First, sample preparation and conditioning are carried out to ensure that the chair to be tested is a fully assembled finished product and is placed in a specified temperature and humidity environment until it reaches equilibrium. Next, the relevant instruments are calibrated and zeroed according to the testing items. The specific testing steps usually start with non-destructive testing (such as dimensional, appearance, and functional checks) followed by destructive or durability testing.
