Office Chair Factory Equipment

Admin October 13, 2026

The production of office chairs in factories involves a variety of equipment, covering material processing, frame fabrication, functional component installation, and other stages. However, specific models need to be further confirmed based on brand and process requirements.

1. Material Processing Equipment

The production of office chairs requires pre-processing of materials such as leather, foam, and metal. For example, leather cutting tables use CNC technology for precise cutting, ensuring consistent dimensions for chair seats, backrests, and other components. Foam cushion cutting equipment employs hot-melt or laser cutting processes to shape foam blocks into ergonomic forms, enhancing seating comfort. Additionally, metal tube cutting and bending equipment falls into this category, used for producing frame components like chair legs and armrests.

2. Frame Fabrication Equipment

The structural stability of chairs depends on the precision of frame fabrication. Some factories adopt fully automated welding technology, using robotic arms or specialized welding machines to assemble metal frames, reducing manual errors and improving efficiency. For instance, welding equipment is required for connecting the backrest to the seat plate and securing the five-star base to the gas lift. For plastic frames, injection molding machines may be used, injecting molten plastic into molds and cooling them to form integrated components like chair seats and armrests.

3. Functional Component Installation Equipment

The core functions of office chairs, such as height adjustment, rotation, and tilting, rely on components like hydraulic cylinders and gas springs. Hydraulic cylinder installation equipment uses automated assembly lines to secure gas lifts to the chair base, ensuring smooth adjustment and load-bearing safety. Additionally, five-star base assembly equipment connects plastic or metal casters to the central hub, requiring testing for wheel rotation flexibility and noise reduction. Some high-end production lines are also equipped with functional testing benches to simulate user scenarios and verify chair load-bearing capacity and durability.

4. Brand and Process Differences

Different brands of equipment have varying technical focuses. For example, brands like Lvzhou and Freite specialize in foam equipment, offering a range of foam machines such as high-pressure air types and blower-assisted medium- and low-pressure types, suitable for producing foam seat cushions. Tongjia and Songyang, on the other hand, focus on injection molding and welding, with high-precision equipment suitable for large-scale standardized production. Factories need to select equipment combinations based on product positioning (e.g., economy or ergonomic chairs). For instance, economy chairs may simplify the welding process, while high-end products may add dedicated assembly lines for lumbar support adjustment mechanisms.

For specific models or technical parameters, it is recommended to directly contact equipment suppliers (such as Lvzhou and Freite) or consult their official product manuals to match the actual needs of the production line.
