Office Chair and Employee Chair Production
The production process of office chairs and employee chairs involves multiple steps and techniques, mainly including base production, footrest processing, seat frame production, material processing, and high-tech production processes in some enterprises.

In base production, factories first cut steel pipes into standard lengths and then press them into curved shapes for base production. After that, the steel pipes are installed onto molds (welding platforms) and welded using CO2 gas shielded welding to ensure standard workpieces and sufficient welding strength, providing a stable foundation for the chairs.
The footrest processing step is relatively complex. First, acid washing is carried out to remove rust and dirt, followed by rinsing with clean water and removing moisture with sawdust. Then, the weld positions are ground, polished with sanding belts, and finally galvanized. After these steps, the footrest surface can achieve a mirror-like gloss, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also enhances corrosion resistance.
Seat frame production is divided into bottom frame and back frame production. When producing the bottom cushion frame, workers use hydraulic-powered machines to bend No. 14 steel pipes into shape, connect the ends, and weld steel bars in the middle to support the mechanism for adjusting the seat position. They also hang S-shaped steel springs from the front to the back of the seat frame to provide elastic support, making the sitting experience more comfortable for users. The back frame includes the assembly of components such as the spine and armrest attachments. After assembly, burrs and other rough areas on the steel are ground down to prevent scratching users.
In material processing, leather needs to be smoothed first and then cut according to cardboard templates. During the cutting process, natural flaws are avoided to ensure consistent appearance and texture of the produced chairs. At the same time, foam pads for the chair backs need to be cut, and factors such as foam density in the chairs should be considered. Appropriate foam density can provide good support and comfort.
Some enterprises, such as Dongguan Boyi Furniture Co., Ltd., have turned chairs into high-tech products. Their production process is highly automated, using equipment such as laser cutting and injection molding robots. The materials are of high quality and have passed the US BIFMA test. The R&D team also travels to Europe every year for exchanges and has a large laboratory to continuously improve product quality and performance.
