Office Chairs Are Easy to Clean
Admin October 08, 2026
The cleaning methods for office chairs vary depending on the material, and an appropriate method should be chosen based on the material.

Mesh Office Chairs:
- Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove surface dust and prevent particles from remaining in the fibers.
- Spray Cleaner: Dilute the cleaner and spray it on the chair, or use a watering can for even spraying.
- Stain Removal: Allow the cleaner to sit for 5-10 minutes to let stains naturally detach from the fibers.
- Extraction Cleaning: Use a steam cleaner and a high-temperature washing machine alternately at least twice to thoroughly remove deep-seated dirt.
- Drying: Use a water extractor to dry the washed chair, speeding up the drying process and preventing mildew.
Suede Office Chairs:
- Surface Dust Removal: Gently clean dust with a vacuum cleaner, a small brush, or a soft-bristled brush to avoid damaging the pile.
- Spot Treatment: Add a neutral cleaner to warm water, dip a soft cloth in it, wring it out, and gently press and wipe the stained area. Do not rub back and forth.
- Humidity Control: The cloth should be damp but not dripping. Treat in small amounts multiple times and ventilate promptly after cleaning to dry.
- Restore Fluffiness: After drying, brush the pile in the direction of the fibers with a soft-bristled brush to restore a soft touch.
Fabric Chairs:
- Surface Cleaning: Gently wipe stained areas with a damp towel only, avoiding direct brushing to prevent fading.
- Deep Cleaning: For stubborn stains, clean with a diluted cleaner. Be sure to rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly to prevent residual chemicals from damaging the fabric.
Leather Chairs:
- Daily Dust Removal: Wipe away dust with a soft towel to keep the surface clean.
- Stain Treatment: Gently wipe stains with a damp towel and immediately dry the moisture. Allow to air dry naturally, avoiding exposure to sunlight or high-temperature drying, which can cause the leather to crack.
Solid Wood Chairs:
- Dust Removal: Wipe the surface with a dry towel and clean dust from crevices with a cotton swab.
- Oil Stain Treatment: Apply cleaner to oil stains, clean with an appropriate amount of water, and dry thoroughly. Prevent moisture penetration, which can cause wood deformation or mildew.
Office Chair Casters:
- Disassembly and Cleaning: Separate any stuck debris, use tweezers to remove hair and fibers, brush the surface and bearing crevices with a neutral detergent, rinse with clean water, and dry thoroughly.
- Lubrication and Reassembly: Apply 1-2 drops of special lubricant to the bearings, rotate the casters to distribute the oil evenly, reassemble, and test for smoothness. Avoid residual debris causing jams.
