Request for Disassembly of Office Chairs

Admin October 10, 2026

The following content can be used as a reference for drafting a request for the disassembly of office chairs:

I. Background of the Request

Currently, some office chairs in the office are suffering from long-term disrepair and severe damage. Specific issues include loose backrests that fail to provide stable support when employees lean on them normally, affecting their sitting posture; worn-out seat surfaces that not only detract from appearance but may also cause discomfort due to uneven surfaces; damaged wheels that make it difficult to move the chairs and even produce harsh noises during movement; rusted metal components that reduce the structural strength of the chairs and pose a risk of breakage; and some chairs with poor ergonomic design that can easily cause physical fatigue and discomfort in employees after long-term use. These problems not only significantly affect employees' normal office experience and work efficiency but also pose certain safety hazards. Moreover, some damaged components cannot be resolved through simple repairs, and continued use may lead to more serious consequences.

II. Necessity of Disassembly

To ensure the office safety and comfort of employees and avoid accidents and physical injuries caused by office chair issues, and considering that although some office chairs are damaged as a whole, some of their components still have recycling value. For example, detachable chair legs and armrests, if they comply with installation specifications and are undamaged, can be used for the repair and replacement of other chairs, thereby saving office costs. Therefore, we hereby apply to our superiors for the disassembly of these office chairs that can no longer be used normally and have no repair value.

III. Disassembly Plan

The disassembly work will be carried out strictly in accordance with safety regulations, with professional personnel assigned to operate and necessary protective tools provided to ensure the safety of personnel during the disassembly process. For recyclable components, they will be properly stored, with a dedicated storage area established and labels made for subsequent maintenance use; for parts that can no longer be reused, they will be classified and disposed of in accordance with environmental protection requirements, such as sending metal components to metal recycling stations and plastic components to plastic recycling and processing plants.

We earnestly request the approval of our leaders.

Sincerely, Salutations!
