Office Chair Design Awards

Admin October 10, 2026

Here are some award-winning office chair design case introductions:

Japan's KOKUYO (Kokuyo) 'ing' Office Chair: This chair won the Silver Award at the 4th DIA China Design Intelligence Award. Its unique feature is a double-layer sliding mechanism beneath the seat, enabling 360ยฐ all-around free rocking. This design is not merely for novelty but has significant health considerations. In long-term office settings, people often suffer from various sub-health issues due to prolonged sitting, such as waist and neck pain, and poor blood circulation. The free rocking function of the 'ing' office chair encourages users to engage in minor physical activities during work breaks, promoting blood circulation and relieving muscle tension, thus effectively addressing sub-health issues caused by prolonged sitting and providing strong health protection for office workers.

Fuld Nesting Chair: This chair won the Best Design Award at the 2024 Red Dot Design Awards in Germany. It fully considers space utilization and environmental factors. When not in use, it can be stacked, significantly saving space, which is highly practical for environments with limited office space. It adopts an inverted 'Y'-shaped integrated structure, not only unique in appearance but also structurally stable. The slightly adjustable tension of the backrest better fits the curve of the human back, providing comfortable support. The seat is made of 3D knitted fabric, offering a comfortable touch and good breathability. Additionally, it is made of only two materials, making recycling easier and aligning with current environmental concepts.

FM asiento Office Chair: This chair won the Red Dot Design Award in Germany in 2024. It was developed in collaboration with designer Daniel Figueroa and is entirely manufactured in Germany in a sustainable manner. The backrest is made of a novel 3D woven membrane with three elastic support elements, allowing it to flexibly adapt to an individual's sitting and resting postures. Whether the user is sitting upright for work or relaxing slightly, it provides a comfortable feel and freedom of movement. Moreover, it boasts a modern and high-quality appearance, not only being practical but also enhancing the overall aesthetic of the office environment.

HLC - 800 Smart Office Chair: It won the '2025 Golden Creation Award for Annual Product Design'. It focuses on modern office needs, integrating intelligent interaction and dynamic support concepts. Equipped with an adaptive lumbar support system, it can sense changes in sitting posture in real-time and automatically adjust the support force, providing precise support for the waist and reducing waist pressure. Additionally, it is equipped with intelligent temperature control and massage functions, further enhancing comfort during use and allowing users to enjoy a better experience while working.
