Office Chair Cylinder Grade

Admin October 14, 2026

Office chair cylinders are generally classified into five grades, with differences in load-bearing capacity, applicable scenarios, and structural characteristics among the grades.

The first-grade cylinder has the smallest load-bearing capacity, able to support only 50kg. Due to its limited load-bearing capacity, it is typically used in simple office chairs or lifting chairs for home use. These chairs generally have low load-bearing requirements and are used in relatively relaxed scenarios. The first-grade cylinder can meet basic lifting needs and has a low cost, making it suitable for users with a limited budget or low requirements for chair functions.

The second-grade cylinder has a load-bearing capacity of 100kg and is suitable for some light-duty office chairs and writing chairs. Compared to the first-grade cylinder, the second-grade cylinder has an improved load-bearing capacity, which can meet the needs of users in general office scenarios. It ensures the basic functions of the chair while also providing a certain degree of stability and durability.

The third-grade cylinder has a load-bearing capacity of 120kg and is suitable for ordinary office chairs and writing chairs. The third-grade cylinder consists of three pneumatic chambers, with precise valves controlling the air pressure flow between each chamber to achieve relatively fine lifting adjustments. This structure makes the third-grade cylinder more stable and smooth during the lifting process, meeting the requirements of most users for the chair's lifting function in office scenarios.

The fourth-grade cylinder has a load-bearing capacity of 150kg and is suitable for high-end office chairs, gaming chairs, and other chairs that require a high load-bearing capacity. The fourth-grade cylinder is safer and more durable than the third-grade cylinder. It has more cylinders than the third-grade cylinder, and they are arranged more symmetrically, resulting in a more even overall load-bearing capacity. During operation, the force distribution is more reasonable, and local excessive stress is less likely to occur. This enables the fourth-grade cylinder to bear a large weight while ensuring the stability and service life of the chair, making it suitable for users with high requirements for chair quality and performance.

The fifth-grade cylinder has the largest load-bearing capacity, able to support 200kg. It is suitable for work chairs in some special industries, such as doctor's work chairs and laboratory work chairs. These work scenarios have extremely high requirements for the load-bearing capacity and stability of the chairs. The fifth-grade cylinder can meet these special needs, ensuring the safety and comfort of users during work.
