Office Chair Cushion Replacement
The replacement of office chair cushions should be carried out according to the type of chair, as detailed below:

Ordinary Office Chairs
If the chair has a simple structure and is fixed with screws or snaps, you can replace the filling material yourself. Before starting the operation, confirm the chair's structure, assess your own hands-on ability and tool situation, and set aside enough time. Tools to prepare include screwdrivers (Phillips/flat-head) or wrenches suitable for the chair's screw sizes, snap removal tools (or flat-head screwdrivers), sharp scissors, heavy-duty staplers (or leather-specific glue, thick needles and thread), and work gloves, etc.; Filling materials are recommended to be high-density (40 - 50kg/mยณ), high-resilience sponge or memory foam. Accurately measure the size of the old filling material. The length and width of the new sponge should follow the original size, and the thickness can be increased by 1 - 2 centimeters. During disassembly, for chairs fixed with screws, turn the chair upside down or lay it on its side and unscrew the fixing screws at the connections between the seat and the base, and between the backrest and the seat; for chairs fixed with snaps, insert your hand into the gap between the cushion and the base to feel for the snap positions and remove the cushion according to the common unlocking methods.
Second-Hand Office Chairs
Taking a second-hand Staple office chair as an example, you can replace the cushion yourself when it loses its elasticity. Materials to prepare include a suitable foam cushion (keyword: foam cushion), which can be purchased from art supply stores. During the repair, first pick out the U-shaped staple gun pins on the back of the cushion to separate the seat surface leather from the supporting wooden board. Pull open the ropes that fix the leather cover and the sponge cushion, and take out the deformed sponge cushion; cut out the shape of the new sponge cushion as needed, and you can stack multiple layers to increase comfort. Put the cut new sponge cushion back in place, tighten the leather cover of the cushion, and use a U-shaped staple gun to staple the edge of the leather cover to the wooden board according to the original staple hole arrangement rules; finally, reinstall the seat.
Genuine Leather Office Chairs
When the cushion of a genuine leather office chair sags, if the chair's structure is not complex, you can replace the filling material yourself. The operation points are similar to those of ordinary office chairs. However, it should be noted that if the chair has functions such as electric adjustment, heating, or airbags, or if you are not confident in your own hands-on ability, you should seek professional repair to avoid damaging the chair's functions or causing safety hazards due to improper operation.
