Office Chair Cushion Cleaning
The cleaning method for office chair cushions should be selected based on the type of cushion, as detailed below:

Removable Cushions
If the cushion is removable, simply take it off the chair, soak it in warm water, add an appropriate amount of detergent, and scrub it manually. For stubborn stains, focus on scrubbing those areas. After scrubbing, rinse the cushion thoroughly with clean water and let it dry. This method is simple and effective in removing stains, but be sure to avoid direct sunlight when drying to prevent damage to the cushion material.
Non-Removable Cushions
- Surface Dust Removal: Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the cushion surface. If you don't have a vacuum cleaner, you can also gently pat the cushion with your hands or a hanger to make the dust fall off. If there is a lot of dust, it is recommended to wear a mask to prevent inhalation.
- Stain Cleaning: You can use a special sponge cleaner, spray it on the cushion little by little, and then scrub and wipe off the stains with a brush bit by bit. Alternatively, take a clean cloth that is wrung out to the point where it doesn't drip water, dip it in a small amount of dry cleaning solution or water-based cleaner, and gently wipe the stained areas multiple times. Then, rinse the cloth, wring it out, and wipe it twice more to remove any remaining cleaner.
- Special Treatment for Sponge Cushions: Sponge cushions can become hard over time due to dust absorption. When cleaning, immerse the entire cushion in water and squeeze it to expel dirt. After washing, let it air-dry in a cool place to restore softness. Do not expose it to the sun, as this will accelerate sponge aging.
- Prompt Drying: After cleaning, dry the cushion promptly to prevent mold and mildew from developing due to moisture. You can place it in a well-ventilated area, use a fan, or use a hairdryer, but keep the temperature low to prevent damage to the cushion material.

During the cleaning process, be careful not to use overly hot water to prevent stains from setting. Do not use a hairdryer on a high setting to blow directly on the cushion to prevent burning the sponge. Do not use too much water, as sponge cushions are difficult to dry, and water seeping into the cotton padding can lead to mold and mildew if it remains wet for a long time. Use cleaners sparingly, as excessive use can shorten the lifespan of the fabric if residues remain.

First, use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove dust. Dilute the cleaner or pour it into a watering can and spray it on the chair. Let the cleaner sit on the chair for a while to allow stains to detach from the fibers. Then, use a sauna machine and a high-temperature cleaning machine alternately for at least two rounds of extraction. Finally, use a water extractor to dry the cleaned chair and speed up the drying process.
