Office Chair Cover Making
There are mainly three methods for making office chair covers: a simple method, making a backrest cover using scrap fabric, and making a universal chair cover at home.

Simple Chair Cover Method: First, prepare suitable fabric. Select a piece of fabric the same size as the chair seat as the front of the chair cover, and then prepare a long strip of fabric that can wrap around the edge of the chair seat once as the side of the chair cover. The width of the side can be adjusted according to personal needs. For example, if you want the chair cover to fit more tightly or loosely, adjust the width accordingly. This method is relatively simple and suitable for those who have low requirements for the chair cover and want to make it quickly. However, it may not fit the various parts of the chair well and may be slightly lacking in aesthetics and durability.
Making a Detachable and Washable Computer Chair Backrest Cover Using Scrap Fabric: First, find a piece of fabric large enough. Leave an opening at the widest part of the chair backrest. The purpose of this opening is to make it easier to put the backrest cover on. Then, cut off the excess fabric and sew it up, leaving the opening at the edge. Lay the fabric flat on the backrest, align the edges, and then sew the edges except for the opening, and make marks. Insert the needle from the bottom edge where it is folded, fold the edge, and after sewing two edges, fold it in half and sew it from the inside. Lock more stitches at the end of the hem to ensure firmness. Finally, hand-sew the Velcro. Attach the fuzzy side to the back and the prickly side to the front. Be sure to leave some thickness to prevent the Velcro from affecting the flatness of the backrest cover when it sticks together. After making it, try it on to see if it fits. This method can make full use of scrap fabric, achieve resource reuse, and is detachable and washable, making it convenient to keep the chair cover clean.
Universal Tutorial for Making Chair Covers at Home: The first step is to measure the dimensions. Use a tape measure to carefully measure the various dimensions of the chair. To ensure that the chair cover can be put on smoothly and has some allowance, it is recommended that the dimensions be 5 centimeters larger than the actual measured ones. After preparing tools such as scissors, tailor's chalk, and a tape measure, make a draft drawing according to the measured dimensions, and then cut the fabric with scissors according to the draft drawing. Sew each corresponding square together to form individual covers. Finally, do some small finishing touches, such as trimming the thread ends and checking if the seams are firm. After tidying up, check again and repair any flaws. This method is relatively complex, but the chair cover made can fit the chair better and have a better overall effect.
