Admin October 09, 2026

Office chair construction involves installation, replacement, and maintenance projects, requiring standardized operations in terms of construction preparation, construction process, and precautions.

Construction Preparation

  • Personnel Preparation: Form a professional construction team and clarify the responsibilities of positions such as construction leader, technical worker, quality inspector, and safety officer.
  • Tool Preparation: Prepare basic tools (cross/flat-head screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, etc.), measuring tools (tape measures, spirit levels, etc.), auxiliary tools (rubber mallets, crowbars, etc.), cleaning tools (brushes, rags, etc.), and safety tools (gloves, goggles, etc.).
  • Material Preparation: Select caster types (swivel casters, fixed casters, etc.) according to requirements, and prepare connecting accessories (screws, nuts, etc.), auxiliary materials (grease, rust inhibitors, etc.), and protective materials (floor protection films, etc.).
  • Other Preparations: Conduct drawing reviews to clarify key parameters; carry out technical briefings to explain the construction process and safety matters; conduct sample trial installations to verify the feasibility of the process; clean the construction site, set up warning signs, and classify and place materials.

Construction Process

  • Install Casters: Secure the chair body, remove the old caster connectors, take off the old casters, and install the new casters.
  • Install Other Components: Proceed with the installation of the gas lift, the connection between the base and the seat plate, the link between the backrest and the seat, the assembly of the armrests and the seat cushion, the assembly of the backrest tube and the backrest, and the installation of the headrest, etc., in sequence.

Precautions

  • Protect On-site Facilities: Avoid damaging existing facilities such as walls and floors during construction.
  • Ensure Personnel Safety: Construction personnel should wear safety helmets, work clothes, and other protective equipment.
  • Maintain Site Cleanliness: Promptly clean up garbage and debris generated during construction.
  • Address Issues Promptly: If problems such as damage or deformation of furniture are found, contact the supplier immediately.
  • Post-construction Inspection: After completing the construction, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the office chair to ensure quality compliance.
