Office Chair Connection Parts
The connection parts of an office chair mainly include the connections between the base and the gas lift, the seat and the gas lift, as well as other component connections. Different connection parts have distinct design and fixation methods.

Connection between the Base and the Gas Lift
The connection between the base and the gas lift usually adopts an inverted conical plug-in design. This design does not use screws or welding for fixation but relies on the tight fit between the components. During the initial assembly of the office chair, the gas lift is inserted into the corresponding position on the base, and the inverted conical structure ensures a tight connection. However, after long-term use, due to metal deformation and the frequent friction between components, the connection becomes even tighter. When it is necessary to repair, replace components, or clean the office chair, this tight connection can make disassembly difficult, and professional tools or specific methods may be required to separate the base and the gas lift smoothly.
Connection between the Seat and the Gas Lift
In the design of some office chairs, the gas lift needs to be connected to the seat (upper seat) first. The specific operation is to invert the chair, and then you can see that the top end of the gas lift is fixed to the chassis of the seat with screws. This screw-fixing method ensures a firm connection between the seat and the gas lift. During normal use, the seat can move stably with the lifting and lowering of the gas lift without loosening or shaking. When it is necessary to disassemble or replace the seat, simply use the appropriate tools to unscrew the screws, and the seat can be separated from the gas lift.
Other Connection Parts
In addition to the two main connection parts mentioned above, there are also connections between other components of the office chair. For example, the backrest and the seat cushion are usually fixed together with three M8 screws. This multi-screw fixation method ensures the connection strength between the backrest and the seat cushion, allowing the backrest to withstand a certain amount of pressure without loosening. The armrests and the seat cushion are also connected with screws, which is convenient for disassembly and installation as needed. The footrest is generally inserted into the hole below the seat cushion. This plug-in method is simple and convenient, facilitating the storage and use of the footrest. The gas cylinder needs to be accurately aligned with the chassis and then inserted to ensure that it can work properly and realize the lifting function of the chair. The headrest is inserted into the backrest to provide neck support for the user.
