Office Chair Configuration Standards
The configuration standards for office chairs mainly include three aspects: specifications and performance, price and service life, and configuration principles.

In terms of specifications and performance, the 'Guidelines on Specifications and Performance of General Office Furniture for Central Administrative Institutions' issued by the National Government Offices Administration provides recommendations for the specifications and performance indicators of office chairs. These guidelines specify the surface physical and chemical properties of office chairs to ensure they are not easily damaged during use and can maintain long-lasting aesthetics and practicality. At the same time, requirements are also set for mechanical properties to ensure that office chairs remain structurally stable and do not loosen or break under normal usage pressure. Additionally, environmental protection requirements are an important aspect; the materials used in office chairs must comply with environmental standards to reduce harm to humans and the environment, promote long-term effective use, and reduce procurement frequency.
Regarding price and service life, office chairs for different job levels have clear price limits and service life requirements. The price of office chairs for department-level positions cannot exceed 1,500 yuan, while for positions at the division level and below, the price cannot exceed 800 yuan. This regulation aims to reasonably control procurement costs and avoid waste. Meanwhile, the minimum service life for office chairs in both job categories is 15 years, meaning that unless special circumstances arise, office chairs should not be replaced arbitrarily before reaching this timeframe.
In terms of configuration principles, the configuration of office chairs should be based on meeting basic functional requirements and should not include high-end equipment. When considering office layout, simplicity and practicality should be followed, avoiding the configuration of luxury furniture and the use of precious woods. This principle reflects the concepts of resource conservation and opposition to extravagance and waste. Furthermore, after reaching the minimum service life, if the office chair is still usable, it should continue to be used. Updates should only be made in principle when the chair is damaged and cannot be repaired, further emphasizing the rational utilization and conservation of office furniture.
