Office Chair Components Description
Office chair components mainly include the following parts based on different types and functions:

Office chairs can be divided into executive chairs and staff chairs by type. Executive chairs feature a high-back structure and come standard with armrests, equipped with a seat cushion, backrest, five-star base, casters, and a pneumatic height adjustment system. Staff chairs, on the other hand, have a low-back design without armrests but are also equipped with a seat cushion, backrest, five-star base, casters, and a pneumatic height adjustment system.
The core components of an office chair cover several key parts. The base is located beneath the seat cushion and is a metal plate or structure with a plastic housing. It acts like a 'joint', connecting the seat cushion, backrest, and pneumatic rod. It serves a fixing and connecting function, enabling all components to form a unified whole. It allows for reclining functionality, with the backrest able to tilt backward thanks to springs or torsion springs inside the base. It also provides adjustment functions, such as locking the reclining angle and adjusting the reclining tension. Common types include ordinary bases (fixed), single-reclining bases, single-reclining bases with locking, synchronous reclining bases, cable-controlled bases, and gravity-sensing bases.
Casters come in two types: ordinary casters and PU wheels, with PU wheels being more suitable for wooden floors and computer rooms. The thickness of the iron frame of the chair base affects its service life, and surface treatment methods include painting, baking paint, and electroplating, with electroplating offering better resistance to rust. The pneumatic rod can adjust the chair's height and enable rotation. The seat is composed of a wooden board, sponge, and fabric. The quality of the wooden board is not easily noticeable, the sponge can be either recycled or new, and the fabric options include linen, mesh, and leather. Armrests provide support for the user. The connection between the seat and backrest is achieved through angle brackets, using steel pipes or plates. The backrest steel frame combines a plastic frame with mesh fabric, offering breathability. Additionally, lumbar pillows and headrests enhance comfort during use, while the tray enables reclining and height adjustment functions.
