Office Chair Components
The components of office chairs vary depending on the type, mainly divided into two types: swivel office chairs and lift chairs (commonly also referred to as office chairs), with their core components as follows:

The core components of a swivel office chair include the seat cushion, backrest, five-star base, casters, and pneumatic height adjustment system. The seat cushion directly bears the weight of the human body and is usually made of high-density foam and other materials to provide a comfortable sitting experience. The backrest supports the human back, helping to maintain proper sitting posture and reduce back pressure. Its shape and material design need to conform to ergonomic principles. The five-star base is the supporting structure of the swivel office chair, generally made of metal or high-strength plastic, shaped like five claws, providing stable support. Casters are installed at the bottom of the five-star base, facilitating free movement of the chair on the ground. Common casters include hard wheels and soft wheels, which can be selected according to different floor materials. The pneumatic height adjustment system is an important adjustment device for the swivel office chair, enabling height adjustment of the chair through the extension and retraction of the pneumatic rod to meet the usage needs of users of different heights.
The core components of a lift chair (commonly also referred to as an office chair) include the seat panel, backrest, support frame, support frame rocker arm, height adjustment and positioning device, and chair legs. The seat panel has a similar function to the seat cushion of a swivel office chair, serving as the part for sitting. The backrest also functions to support the back. The support frame is a key component connecting the seat panel and the chair legs, providing structural support for the chair. The support frame rocker arm works in conjunction with the support frame to enable angle adjustment of the backrest, allowing users to adjust the tilt of the backrest according to their own needs to increase comfort. The height adjustment and positioning device is used to control the lifting height of the chair, ensuring that the chair can be stably positioned after being adjusted to the appropriate height. The chair legs are the bottom supporting structure of the lift chair, usually available in different shapes such as five-star bases and four-legged bases, providing stable support for the chair.
