Office Chair Combined with Rest

Admin October 22, 2026

There are mainly two ways to combine office chairs with rest: one is to modify an ordinary office chair, and the other is to use a specialized dual-purpose office chair for napping.

Modifying an Ordinary Office Chair

If you don't want to lie on the floor, you can modify an ordinary office chair at your workstation to achieve rest. The specific method is to pull the office chair back and adjust it to the maximum angle to create a semi-reclined position. This approach doesn't require purchasing additional special equipment; you can achieve a certain degree of rest using your existing office chair, which is convenient for those who need a temporary rest and don't want to leave their workstations. However, ordinary office chairs are not specifically designed for rest, so their adjustable angles and comfort levels may be limited. When pulling the chair back to adjust the angle, you may be restricted by the chair's own structure and the space at your workstation, making it difficult to achieve an ideal semi-reclined position. Moreover, resting in this modified position on an ordinary office chair for a long time may lead to fatigue or discomfort in certain body parts, such as the waist and neck, due to the chair's lack of sufficient support.

Using a Specialized Dual-Purpose Office Chair for Napping

  • Xige 926y Office Chair: This is an office chair that can be used for both sitting and lying down, specifically designed to meet the need for a nap in an office setting. It has multiple adjustment functions, allowing you to adjust the backrest to a suitable angle according to your personal needs and habits, enabling a transition from a sitting to a lying position. During a nap, you can adjust it to a more comfortable lying position, providing good support for your body, reducing physical stress, and improving the quality of rest. Furthermore, this specially designed office chair usually conforms more to ergonomic principles in terms of materials and structure, better fitting the body's curves and reducing physical fatigue.
  • Wuqibao Folding Chair and Lounger: Also suitable for office naps, it has the characteristic of being usable for both sitting and sleeping. It generally adopts a folding design, allowing you to fold it up conveniently when not in use to save space. When you need to rest, simply unfold it and adjust it to a suitable lying position. This lounger has good portability; if you need to rest in different locations within the office or want to store it to keep your workstation tidy, it's relatively easy to operate.
