Office Chair Cleaning
Admin October 08, 2026
Office chair cleaning requires different methods for different parts, with distinct approaches for casters and other components, as detailed below:

I. Caster Cleaning
- Hair Removal: If hair is tangled around the casters, use small scissors to carefully cut and remove each strand. Exercise patience during this process to avoid damaging the wheel surface.
- Dirt Cleaning: Instead of wiping each wheel individually, prepare a used facial towel. Wet it and let it air-dry slightly, then use the textured side to rub against the wheels, increasing friction. Next, wrap the towel around the wheels, secure it with a rubber band, and sit on the chair, moving back and forth to transfer dirt from the wheels to the towel. Repeat this process multiple times for thorough cleaning.
- Floor Protection: To minimize frequent floor cleaning, use invisible tape as an aid. Choose tape of appropriate width and moderate stickiness, tear it off, and stick it onto the wheels. Avoid making it too flat; keep it slightly wrinkled to prevent the wheels from becoming too slippery and difficult to move, while also reducing dirt residue on the floor.
II. Cleaning Other Parts
- Cleaning Order: Follow a top-to-bottom principle, cleaning the backrest, seat cushion, armrests, and legs in sequence to ensure no part is overlooked.
- Cloth Selection: Use a cloth that is slightly damp but not dripping to prevent water stains or moisture damage to the office chair.
- Stubborn Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, pay attention to the cleaning method to avoid damaging the surface material. Choose a cleaner suitable for the office chair's material and gently wipe the stained area.
- Deep Cleaning: For deep cleaning, first use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove surface dust and debris from crevices. Then apply a professional foam cleaner, allowing it to fully penetrate the fixed fibers. Next, use high-temperature equipment for treatment, which both disinfects and enhances cleaning effectiveness. During high-temperature treatment, control the temperature carefully to avoid damaging the office chair material.
