Office Chair Casters/Wheels

Admin October 11, 2026

Office chair casters, also known as wheels, are one of the core components of office chairs. The following provides an introduction from three aspects: installation and removal, testing equipment, and special types:

Installation and Removal: When installing office chair casters, first firmly grasp the wheel with your hand, ensuring that the pin is perpendicular to the chair base. Then, forcefully insert the pin into the corresponding hole on the chair base. Generally, when you hear a 'click' sound or feel that the pin is securely inserted, it indicates that the installation is complete. For removal, the process is similar to installation. Ensure a stable grip on the wheel and pull the pin straight up to detach the caster from the chair base. Throughout the process, pay attention to applying moderate force to avoid damaging the chair base or the pin part of the caster due to excessive force.

Testing Equipment: To ensure that the quality and performance of office chair casters meet standards, there are specialized life test machines for testing office chair casters. These test machines can simulate various scenarios in which office chairs are actually used, such as simulating the chair sliding on a surface with obstacles, like encountering small stones or threads, and observing the operation of the casters; they can also simulate sliding on a smooth, obstacle-free surface. Through these simulated tests, a comprehensive inspection can be conducted to check for issues such as wear, jamming, or wheel detachment. Only casters that have passed strict testing and meet the requirements of office chair testing standards can be used in the production of office chairs, thereby ensuring the safety and comfort of office chair use.

Special Types: Some office chairs use transparent-wheel casters. These casters not only have the functions of ordinary casters but also add a unique aesthetic appeal to the office chair due to their transparent appearance. Transparent-wheel casters are usually made of special materials that achieve a transparent visual effect while ensuring strength and durability. They can blend in with office environments of different styles, meeting the personalized needs of some users regarding the appearance of office furniture.
